Location

This country hotel is located halfway between Islantilla and the district town of Lepe, in a finca with orange trees, where guests will find peace and relaxation. By rental car or bicycle, guests will reach the undeveloped section of the kilometre-long Playa de la Antilla. The centre of Lepe as well as various shops are around 3 km away. Various golf courses, such as El Rompido Golf, Islantilla Golf, Golf Nuervo Portil and Isla Canela are also within the vicinity. It is just 130 km to Seville airport.

Facility

A pleasant ambience awaits guests in 4 single rooms and 33 double rooms. Staffed 24 hours a day, the reception desk makes check-in and check-out easy. A baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine are available. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. Booked this hotel at fairly short notice on booking.com as was visiting my daughter who was au pairing in islantilla. Everywhere in islantilla was twice the price & the pics & info on booking.com was a bit suspect. I expected a motel rather than hotel, right next to a road etc. But I was very happily surprised. The hotel was peaceful , pretty with a lovely pool & pool bar, a restaurant, irrigated grass around, beautiful old characterful building. The room was fantastic & the room cleaners were efficient, thorough, but also totally worked around me. I was working off the wifi for huge chunks of the day, having google hangout meetings etc & no problems st all! Totally strong connection. When I finally left the room to go for s swim in the afternoon. I put my 'please clean me' note on the door but not really expecting them to be around st that time but they cleaned it. Or they cleaned it whilst you went to breakfast. Totally fantastic service. I left a tip. Air conditioned rooms, lovely restaurant, loads of potted flowers everywhere. It really was a lovely hotel. Full board if you wanted it. We had b &b but had dinner there one night. I had booked 2 people (my 7 year old son came too & he liked it) but my daughter stayed one night & they were v relaxed & didn't charge me. Yes you have to have a car to stay there, 100%, as it is not in the town but it was a 5-10 min drive to islantilla which has a really lovely beach, loads of restaurants & playgrounds & cheap parking. I was very pleased we weren't actually staying in islantilla which was v full of tourists. Mainly Spanish people on holiday, some Portuguese too. Our hotel was full of Portuguese people on holiday. The restaurant felt v authentic Portuguese (having lived there in the past). I recommend b & b rather than half / full board. But as a family run hotel. They might actually be Portuguese I'm not sure but they were v friendly. Really lovely. Would stay again if I came to this area. Much nicer than the hotels at islantilla. I was in one of the room of this lovely place during just one night after a wedding of the sister of best friend of mine the first weekend of may this 2017.The service was warm and attentive, the room was confortable and silence and the breakfast with Iberian Ham and toast at the swiming pool simply great.Thanks for everything guys. Let me start by saying 100% the wifi does not work, no ifs and buts, it does not work. Cleanliness runs to the sheets being ironed but there are dead squatted flies and mosquitos on the walls. It is quiet, maybe to quiet because if people are outside or if a dog is barking a mile away you are gonna hear it. Con respecto a que un perro ladre a una milla del Hotel como usted indica, logicamente poco podemos hacer, esto es un Hotel Rural y en el campo hay animales.Espero que entienda mi respuesta y volverle a ver en nuestro Hotel, comprobara que fue una experiencia puntual, nada que ver con el dia a dia de Nuestro Establecimiento.Gracias y saludos

Brilliant relaxing stay

Hotel Valsequillo is a gem in the south west of Spain. If you want a place to relax and get away from it all then the Valsequillo is were you need to go. Me and my wife have visited the hotel 3 times in the last 10 months and have been looked after very well each time. We only paid £259 for both of us B/B which we booked through a travel agent. The hotel is very quiet and peaceful which is most rewarding when you are recharging your batteries. All the staff are very helpful, but speak very little English if any. The hotel is immaculate in every way, we were only bed and breakfast as we were visiting our son who was working in a school in Lepe so we tend to eat out a lot. The walks around the area are first class, very safe, very quiet and quite flat. El Terron is about 4 km form the hotel. The town of Lepe is about a mile away, its fairly busy. There is lots of places to eat, I would recommend the Portuguese restaurant D'La Plaza in the square, were Vanya will help you as she speaks good English, also Pepes down form the Cathedral. Best place to stay around La Antilla

Staff is very helpful & works 24 hours,Our room was romantic & spacious, it had everything we needed.The breakfast is rich but doesn't include normal coffee, it should be ordered from the bar.Staff do not speak english, the hotel is far from any life :)Actually, we were going to stay there for one night, but extended our stay for 3 more, because it is really best value for money in La Antilla surrounding :) jmpena, Propietario at Hotel Valsequillo, responded to this review Muchas Gracias por sus comentarios que nos ayudan a mejorar.
