    My experience at this hotel has been very unpleasant.I advise not to leave anything in sight in the rooms. I left my colored silk nightgown on top of the bed and when I came back at night I was gone.I had to sleep 3 nights out of 5 in a bikini. They hadn't changed the sheets and the towels were the bathroom. The hotel staff checked the room and laundry carts but there is no sign of the nightgown. I provide you with the invoice but today I am waiting to be compensated as agreed, since in this case the responsible is clearly the hotel.It's clear that in this hotel it's the customer who pays the duck Originally submitted in Spanish on www.tripadvisor.es.     The room is of average size, with bathroom equipped with a bidet and a shower cabin. There is AC, TV, safety box, wardrobe, a small fridge.There is a decent table in the room, but trash bin is only in the bathroom and it is very small. I had to throw part of my garbage tothe trash bin located on the floor and taking some out to the street garbage containers.There are sockets next to the each side of the bed so it is convenient to charge the devices.The staff at reception speaks English and very nice and helpful. It was less easy with restaurant. They speak only Spanish and they check your roomnumber, but there were some issue almost every day. The breakfast didn't have too much variety and they charge 12 euros for this.I didn't feel it is worth it.The hotel is recently re-innovated and has two bike trainers on each floor, so one can do some exercises.The area is calm as street is not busy.Most of the rooms have a nice balcony with table and two chairs. The hotel is located just 150 from a 13 km long and nice beach.If you walk in direction of El Portil you can find Playa de los Enebrales, which is on the edge of the forest and is popular among naturists.There is also a possibility to visit a swimming pool in the hotel Pato Amarillo.For shopping there are 350m to supermarket Mas, 1.2 km to Mercadona and 1.5 km to Dia. The bus stop is located in 300m, from where bus goes to/from Huelva.     I made a booking at this property for arrival on Sept 4 for two nights, upon arrival I was checked into room 109. Just standing outside the door to the room it smelled like an ashtray. When I went inside it was far worse. I asked for another room was told none were available. Left to find another property. Dealing with credit card company, I called booking.com and phone just hangs up. I work in the hospitality industry. Avoid this place unless you want to smoke in the room. Hoteles Costa de Huelva, Atención al cliente/recepción at Hotel Pato Rojo, responded to this review Dear Customer:Smoking is strictly prohibited in the common rooms and rooms of the Hotel.In each room there is a sticker that warns of the sanctions that Spanish Law applies when this rule is breached.The rooms after cleaning after the departure of the guest are scrupulously checked.
