Location

The hotel is situated on the 8-km-long La Barrosa Beach, a paradise of sand and surf surrounded by forests of pine. It is indeed an incomparable location for rest and relaxation. Links to public transport, dining and shopping opportunities can all be found in the vicinity. The town of Chiclana de la Frontera is about 8 km away.

Facility

The holiday village has 3 suites, 65 apartments and 191 double rooms, which are located on 3 storeys and are reachable by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Services such as a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The complex offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the complex feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a hairdresser and a hotel shuttle bus. Bicycle storage is available to guests. There is a bike hire service as well. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. Guests can relax and enjoy the sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror and a telephone are provided. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. The complex has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

Guests can work out or just relax in the outdoor and indoor pools. Kids can splash about in a special swimming area just for them. The pool area also includes a hot tub, a waterslide and a pool bar. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sun terrace. A wide range of sports and activities are offered at the holiday village, such as tennis. For a fee, guests can also enjoy cycling/mountain biking, golf and horse riding. A number of sports are available, including water sports such as snorkelling and aquafit. For a fee, guests can also enjoy water skiing, windsurfing, jet skiing, motorboat rides, banana boat rides, canoeing, sailing and diving. A wide range of indoor sporting activities are also offered, for example a gym and yoga or, for a fee, billiards, darts and bowling. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a hammam and hydrotherapy treatments and, for an additional fee, a steam bath, a spa and massage treatments. Additional leisure activities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club, live music and a dance club.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant (with high chairs), a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. For lunch and dinner, guests can order à la carte. Diet meals, gluten-free meals and vegetarian dishes can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available.

    On the internet site is not well mentioned that the hotel has no beach area. If you want sun beds on the beach you have to rent them at a price of 30 euros from the beach clubs in the area.The swimming pools were very dirty and could, nobody could swim in. Very disappointing, cause that is why we came, to swim. Very strange system with the pool towels. There is up to 11-12 am nobody there to give you a towel in the swimming area. If you need one you have to make a long walk at the reception and show a card. A ***** hotel does not have this embarrassing and humiliating rules. I had to walk a lot with my bad knees each morning for the damn towels and had all the time to worry about taking the card with me which gave me stress. Breakfast without vegetables, only tomatoes. When asked why not at least some cucumbers the staff member said " we don't eat vegetables at breakfast in Spain". There is a juice bar but this does not compensate the fact that you can't eat something healthy in the morning.Most of the staff members at the lobby were impolite and they could poorly speak some English. Very reduced entertainment, the hotels around were having daily shows with nice music and dance. Here was just somebody at the piano or guitar, not much of interest if you come with a child.     Nice stay but would have expected more some not all of stay need to be trained more was not a 5 star experience

    Checking was very slow aswell as check out however there was training going. Would be better off having 2 good restaurants and bars and do them right as opposed to going to college tonlearn how to navigate with all 3 bars and restaurants having opening and closing times and days so ridiculous. Rooms were nice staff at the pool bar by the kids pool were lazy and not very welcoming even though we were the only guests there. I’d hate to see if it was very busy. Rooms are very nice and the buffet was amazing and I have to say the staff there were very nice and helpful maybe management could do with some training for the rest of the hotel.     A splendid hotel in a splendid location. The gardens in which the pools sit are excellent and very well maintained. The food is uniformly good and the staff are happy and helpful. While difficult to pick out anyone special, mention of Laura in the sunset bar is a must, cheerful ,informative and efficient.
