  Excellent friendly, comfortable hotel, only negative was the bedroom doors need a soft close to stop the loud noise when closing.

  Excellent overnight stay perfectly situated for a night out in El Puerto. Hotel very comfortable and welcoming with a nice rooftop pool and bar.

  Disappointing. Not 4star or boutique standards. Reception staff unwelcoming. Hotel really tired and dated, lacking upkeep, room in need of repair, entrance door frame badly damaged, skirting boards broken. Bathroom mouldy tub discoloured. Large damp patches in corridors. Not as advertised. Pool needs regular cleaning pool bar closed! Surcharge for pool towels despite website stating different. Linen was poor quality. Chamber maid very pleasant and helpful. Over priced for what they offer. We won’t be returning.   Mixed Experience – Some great features, but major comfort issues

  Hotel Soho Boutique Puerto has a lot going for it. The location is fantastic — within walking distance to the old town and the ferry to Cádiz — and there are great parking options both onsite and nearby. The reception staff were very friendly, and I appreciated that they proactively called ahead to inform us about a necessary room change rather than surprising us at check-in.The bar area is lovely and comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent with a wide range of choices. Rooms are spotless, and the beds and pillows are very comfortable.That said, there were a few significant downsides this time around. The biggest issue for me was the lack of air conditioning — in April, with outdoor temperatures over 20°C and high humidity, the hotel was still running the heating system. This made the room, corridors, and breakfast area uncomfortably hot, and unfortunately, it had a serious impact on my ability to sleep. While a fan was offered, it didn’t feel like a real solution under the circumstances.Additionally, soundproofing in the rooms is minimal — doors are loud when closing, and corridor lights flood into the room when activated at night, which can be quite disruptive.This was actually my second stay here — the first was in December, when heating made sense and the overall pros easily outweighed the cons, this is why we chose to stay again. Sadly, this time around, the comfort issues really took away from what should be a great experience, and I’ve come away disappointed.   Wonderful Stay!

  PROS: Excellent hotel. Good location in the city near ferry terminal, restaurants and shops; helpful, professional staff; older property yet well maintained and very clean in all areas; amazing breakfast with varied selection and long hours; beautiful, spacious room; nice decor; lovely balcony; XXL double bed that was very comfortable; clean sheets, linens and towels; pleasantly scented body wash; adequate cable tv selection; inviting and clean common areas; steady WiFi signal. Menu items at the hotel bar and restaurant were reasonably priced. Competitive off season bed and breakfast rate. Made a special request for a particular room facing the river which was honored. Older gentleman at front desk provided great recommendation on where to locate a self-service laundry. Top of my list foe hotels when I return to the area.CONS: Ants; no body lotion or hair conditioner; entrance to underground parking can be challenging and it costs 10 euros/night; ventilation in the room was poor as it seems the air conditioning is seasonal; ordered a club sandwich from the restaurant and it looked and tasted nothing like what I expected. Younger clerk at the front desk couldn't provide any recommendations on local restaurants.
