    Great hotel in fantastic location

    rating29 Sept 2024

We had a wonderful weeks stay at the Hotel Sicania and will definitely visit again. The location on the beach is stunning, the hotel spotless with really helpful staff and comfy rooms. We stayed half board and the breakfast and main meal was great - plenty of variety and quality produce. We seemed to be the only English people staying but that wasn’t a bad thing and most of the staff spoke basic English. There’s plenty to do in the area - we trekked up to the castle and navigated the bus and train into Valencia fairly easily but to be honest we mainly lazed on the beach, which is right on your doorstep. Highly recommend!

Comfortable, relaxed and ever so friendly - and it couldn't have a better location

    rating18 May 2023

The Hotel Sicania was built at the 'Faro' end of the magnificent horse shoe shaped bay in Cullera in 1960. While it retains some of the charm of that era, it has recently been totally refurbished, and is now both modern and comfortable. It is also beautifully clean throughout, and maintained in very good order. The outstanding feature of the hotel for us was the staff. They were relaxed, extremely helpful and nice to deal with, and nothing was too much trouble for them. We booked bed and breakfast. The breakfast was excellent with a great variety of cooked foods; fresh fruit; breads and pastries. We had a special dietary requirement which the hotel met cheerfully and without fuss. With comfortable beds, adequate wardrobe space, and air-conditioning in every room, the Sicania provides all you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. It also has a swimming pool, several conference rooms, a small but well stocked bar, and of course it is right on the beautiful beach at Cullera.Tip - parasols and sun beds on the beach would enhance the experience - but the hotel do provide sun chairs and umbrellas at no cost, and beach towels for a small refundable deposit.

    Fabulous location

    rating02 Jun 2018

Stayed here Monday to Friday lovely big clean hotel right on the beach. The rooms are lovely and clean all with Balconies and either a pool view or beach view .We had Breakfast each morning which cost €9 and that was unlimited food and drink hot and cold food. Deck chairs were free to take to the beach and the place was very quiet this time of year but only €7 in a taxi would take you to the town of Cullera where there are plenty of places to eat you can also eat in the Hotel lunch and Dinner but we only went to the outside Beach Bar where food was lovely but the menu was only in Spanish the only thing the hotel was missing was a Kettle in the room. Overall a lovely place and will definitely be going back.

Was a good stay for a night

    rating17 May 2018

Stayed here for a night and it was good. No problems at all. Checkin was easy and staff was friendly and fast. Room was a good size and clean, beds were comfortable. Walked into town from the hotel and it wasn't far. Ate and walked around for a bit then was back at the hotel. A pleasant stay.

    Lunch by the sea

    rating23 Sept 2017

We visited today to savour the delights of a lunch almost on the beach. We were, however, ultimately disappointed. Yes, they found us a table despite not having a reservation and the starters were excellent, beautifully presented and delicious. Then it went downhill. Why do they present a menu in English if the waiting staff only speak Spanish? The Fideuá ordered was with chicken, rabbit and vegetables but a fish dish arrived. Not having the patience to wait for a correction we accepted it. Bad idea. It was not very tasty, we had to ask for finger bowls, got one hand wipe each. The food arrived before the starter dishes were cleared ... well it was less than satisfactory for what is a more upmarket establishment. No tip! Will we go again, certainly not during this trip!
