Location

Located close to the beach, this spa and conference hotel is also a casino resort and lies in the tourist centre of Playa de Gandia, roughly 4 km from Gandía city and 50 min from Valencia and its airport. Many different bars and restaurants are to be found a few minutes' walk away (about 100 m) and links to the public transport network are approximately 200 m from the hotel. The beach and sea are a stone's throw away (250 m) and El Grao de Gandía is 1.5 km away where guests can find several kind of shops.

Facility

The hotel has 16 junior suites and 250 double rooms, which are located on 11 storeys and are reachable by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Equipped with a direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi, the rooms provide many ways for guests to stay connected and entertained. A delicious and varied buffet awaits guests at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Special culinary options, such as diet meals, are also available. The hotel also offers special catering options.     Fantastic Experience in Playa de Gandia

    Perfectly clean hotel. The reception process was quick and easy. Breakfast was great with loads of choice. The Bar in the evening was just what was required after a long day. My room had everything you could want, and they even left fruit which was a nice touch. I would definitely stay here again.

    Completely comprised by the worst checking-in experience of our lives5.0Liked · The breakfast buffet was very good. Excellent coffee, good variety of options. Nice breakfast room, not over crowded.Disliked · Checking in at reception was the worst experience of many years of checking in at many types of hotels, in many countries, for both business and pleasure. It was the most unwelcoming process, where my wife and I felt like potential criminals. We had paid in full, in advance, when making the booking, for the six nights. That's fine. We were asked for our credit card to be scanned for a pre-authorisation. Why? we asked. "Its for security for the room" we were told. My wife asked "is this in case we damage or trash the room". The receptionist smiled and nodded. Then came the "terms and conditions" which we were asked to sign. This was four A4 pages of small font script, in SPANISH. "Fine we said, Can we have the English version?" We don't speak Spanish and are from Ireland. We can't sign a four page document we can't read. Besides which we are fully paid in advance and you have additionally taken an authorisation of our card for any damage that we cause. What further assurances are required in a four page document. We explained very calmly and politely that we can't sign a document we can't understand. Another receptionist colleague offered to translate the "important bits" of the document for us verbally. We declined. A signature on a document is a legally binding acceptance of the document in its totality. Ignorance is no defence in law. They had another mini conference about this with what appeared to be a shift manager, ( who didn't acknowledge us or come over to where we were standing at reception) and then they advised us that they would translate the document using A.I. but after another 15 minutes of us waiting then announced that they couldn't translate it. They would allow us to complete check-in and if we came back to the reception desk the following day they should have a translation for us to sign. We didn't go back to the reception.

    Terrible hotel....no air conditioning in room...no plugs for cell phones....elevators are the old...it's not a 4 star...not even 3 star....it needs a lot of investment to modernize it....it is obviously old and owners not willing to keep it up....will never stay there again....     Booked into this hotel for four nights but checked out after one, half the facilities were closed. Breakfast was a pensioners free for all and although rooms were clean the hotel was most uninviting . If your looking for a hotel to curl up your toes and die then I highly recommend . Predominately Spanish residents but why not it’s Spain but four star it is not . Very disappointing .     This is the third time we have been. We only stayed for a weekend break and Sat my husband suggested we go home! We stayed. The woman in the lunchroom was so rude. We paid for full board and as in all the 8 hotels we have been in we know we pay our drinks seperate, when we asked the waiter for water he said he didnt think he could give us it to ask at desk. The boy said ok and didnt bring it so i went up again ! And asked the woman and she said 'you have to pay for it first ' !! And rude. The food was cold. The beds so bad and pillows so thin we did not sleep all weekend ! And came home exhausted. The shower pointed down the way. The skirting boards were held on with tape!! The television must have been 100 years old !! And no international channel. We couldnt use the pool all weekend as there was a wedding !! Ok but we should have been informed. The bar area was limited. Were put off now coming to Gandia. I will say reception were very good. But lunch staff needs to be sorted.
