Until we arrived there, they did not inform us that there was no elevator. They placed us on the 3rd floor; it was fine for one night, we let it pass.We went to the Duna Dorada festival, and upon arrival, the same girl was not there; there was a Bulgarian at the reception who attended us poorly. In the end, she gave us the key, and we went up; it was already 3 in the morning. The surprise upon entering the room? More than 100 ants. We went down and asked if she could change our room, to which she barely understood the language and told us, "An ant will not eat you; tomorrow at 7 when a man comes, tell him." It was not about the ants, as I know they will not eat us; it was about hygiene. At 4 in the morning, we had to move the little table where there were the most ants and try to rest for a while.Daylight comes, and the windows do not close completely, so all the noise is heard. We in the room above knew even what they were saying about what could be heard. When I went down this morning, there was a guy saying that we should have been moved to another room, but well, those are not solutions. Very disgusting, to be honest; I have never been in such a situation even in pensions and hostels. It does not deserve even one star. Originally submitted in Spanish on www.tripadvisor.es. Long week end break for the Moors and Christians festival

    rating19 Jul 2015

My husband and I and our friends stayed in Oliva for the Moors and Christians festival, the hotel was ideal because it is very central, only a five minute walk from the parades and festivities. The Hotel is spotlessly clean, our bed linen was changed twice during our 3 night stay and towels changed daily. The staff were lovely, so helpful and friendly, nothing to much trouble. I note it has been said by previous clients that the rooms were small, I didn't think they were excessively small and certainly contained everything we required for a comfortable break. I do think its fair to say it is not one of the modern high rise impersonal hotels we so often stay in but more of an older family run business. I would seriously recommend this hotel to any of my friends or family visiting that area and would definitely stay there again if I was in the area

    Disappointing

    rating25 Sept 2014

We stayed here for one night 25/26th September. Whilst the room was clean and functional and the service okay, the breakfast was charged at 5 Euros instead of the published 3,50 Euros and was dismal. The bed was comfortable, WiFi was good, the bathroom was cramped with the bidet cramping your knees when on the toilet and I ran the shower for ten minutes to get lukewarm water.Oddly, we were given a single pillow 4'6" long and had to press them to change it to normal sized as only one of us uses a pillow. Oliva is a lovely place with some fantastic restaurants. We did find that much of it in the tourist zone had closed down even though it was still considered summer season.

Small family hotel in the old city

    rating06 Aug 2014

Location - can be considered far from the seaside, but really is 30 minutes walk on a great sunny weather :-) The room is not big but has everything you need! The stuff is great and super-friendly! You can order breakfasts inside, but nerby there are great cafes with great and excellent breakfasts. Totally - great place for quiet and relax leisure!
