    Totally unacceptable food

    rating21 Feb 2026

An Imserso holiday, one of many my husband and I have taken. The poorly situated hotel is a little dated, but spotlessly clean. The staff are all friendly and helpful, but name badges would be useful.Breakfast is continental, with cereals, cheese and cold meats, and bakery items. None of the bakery items are fresh. All are Dulcesol pre-packed which can be bought in most supermarkets. The layout of the buffet is not good. The milk is nowhere near the cereal, and the tea and coffee sachets are not with the hot water. For lunch and dinner (especially dinner) the food is abysmal. In the 18 years we have lived in Spain, it is undoubtedly the worst food we have ever eaten. On a good day it was overcooked but cold. On a bad day it was almost raw and cold. Chicken with blood near the bone is not acceptable. Apart from the occasional cake for dessert, all the desserts were bought in. Flan, natillas and arroz con leche were all bought in, in individual plastic pots. How can a professional kitchen not have staff who can cook traditional Spanish food. The bedroom was simply furnished, but offered plenty of cupboard and drawer space. The walk-in shower was particularly good. A car is definitely needed as the hotel is nowhere near any amenities.

Rooms basic but clean, food was disappointing.

    rating10 May 2025

The rooms were basic, clean but needed a bit of repair. There was limited sound insulation and we could hear everything for the surrounding rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was VERY limited and not to our taste, although the Spanish guests seemed to enjoy it.The hotel was right next to and overlooked a school, so noisy and difficult to get access at school times.Location is close to the port, a short walk to the promenade and a 30 minutes walk to Gandia "city" although a bus that runs every 20 to minutes or so

    Very disappointing

    rating19 May 2019

Stayed there recently and the only good thing was that it was very clean. It has a pool on the roof but no water in it at this time of the year. There was nowhere to sit outside apart from a few tables and chairs down the alley at the side.It also was quite a walk to the beach. The main thing that was very disappointing was the dining room and food. Although we went in as soon as the dining room was open the food was not very hot and some even cold. Some things were repetitive. It was also quite crammed at times. Certainly wouldn't recommend.

    Big no

    rating09 Aug 2017

I would not recommend. No coffee facilities in the room ( not even on request) , no Mini Fridge ( not even on request) no proper toiletries , towels very low quality . On a full board basis , they are expecting you to buy drinks . If you don't, all waitresses are becoming very arrogant and they do not even look at you for the rest of the meal . We were 3 of us and we the restaurant half empty the waitress told us to move to another table because the one we were using was for 4 people. As I mentioned before, the Restaurant was half empty and it stayed like that throughout our dinner . Very bad customer services showed by F&B members of staff . Will never visit again!!!
