A beautiful place to stay

An absolutely brilliant trip away with friends. The hotel is spotless, all the staff are so friendly and as a group of friends we had the best time. We went into Puerto Banus and the reception staff couldn't do enough for us, ensuring we had taxis and they were also really accommodation when checking if late check out was available. Stayed 10 days with my mom of 86.Royal Marbella Golf resort in Estaponia - Marbella is Wonderfull located in the middle of all the highlights of Andalusie.As you stay here you do need a car! And there is no bar or super market in the complex.Knowing this; it s no problem..The view is lovely, the employees are kind& pure, really helpfull to give you your best holiday.The appartments have modern interieur just like the pictures and are really comfortabele.We enjoyed our stay! We had a lovely stay. The journey from the airport was only 50 mins and there is plenty in the area to do. We would recommend having a car. There are many local beaches nearby as well as Marbella, Puerto Banus and Selwo Adventure.The apartment was spotless - cleaned three times during the week. Lidl and Mercadona nearby and plenty of restaurants within a 10 min drive.There is a tiny shop and cafe within walking distance - I walked with our daughter in her pushchair easily but just be mindful as there isn't a pavement all the way.The security and reception team could not be more welcoming and helpful, they were great.There is a superb "lounge" area with water, tea, coffee and biscuits as well as space to work/plug in your devices.The pool area is sizcious, clean and tidy. There are plenty of beds. The water is cold!! It was very cosy and clean apartment in safe calm neighborhood. The reception was helpful with taxi and navigating in neighbour hood. The swimming pool is spacious enough and not filled with so many people. A lovely stay which was let down by difficulties with general room maintenance.

The Royal Marbella golf resort was a good place for our family to stay. On arrival, the lovely lady in reception gave us a list of places to visit. A car is most definitely needed and can be parked underground for 10 euros a day. The views from one side of the resort are lovely with the beautiful golf courses. There are 2 pools. One surrounded by buildings, but perfectly ok to cool off in. The other much bigger and more space around it, much prettier and with plenty of sun beds. Super for families. Lots of lovely children splashing about in the pool with pool toys having fun. There are lifeguards and a little drinks stall. Free coffee from the business hub inside.The apartment was clean, spacious, modern, well equipped and comfortable with 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed in the sitting room. Two bathrooms and a kitchen with oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. A lovely balcony overlooking the golf course. But... 2 nights in to our stay, the electric all went off. We called the maintenance man who was the only one on the main desk. He turned it on and was a little frustrated. 20 minutes later there was water dripping from the bathroom ceiling. We called him back and we wouldn't accept the coincidence with electric AND water dripping..Eventually, he was able to give us a key to another exactly the same apartment. So we packed everything up and moved. Our dinner was ruined as it was mid cooking in the oven... Again, lovely apartment but this time we faced the building site and unfortunately this was noisy from first thing in the morning. A massive crane and lots of builders to watch us on our balcony... Such a shame. Then the power went off about 5 more times during the week, but we just switched it back on again from the electric cupboard. Not really what we were expecting for our first holiday in a long time. I had to get the children to stay out by the pool area while we sorted the electric and water issue... just in case. Some of the people who are long term at the hotel agreed with me that the maintenence needs an overhaul. I wonder how many other rooms have electric issues? The resort refunded us for one night which wasn't enough in my opinion for the upheaval and constant worry about the electrics. We booked through booking.com who we spoke to afterwards who said the Full amount should have been refunded but the resort would not budge.It IS a lovely place to stay, but due to the dodgy electrics I don't think I'd recommend it to any of my friends unfortunately.
