Location

This hotel is situated in the tourist centre of Torremolinos and lies only some 800 m from Los Alamos beach. Guests will reach the town centre with its boutiques, bars, restaurants, and lively nightlife in about 3 km, while it is 5 km to the airport. 186 rooms are located on 7 storeys and can be reached by 2 lifts. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions.     I stayed here before when it was Royal Costa.I never knew it had been renovated before I came and what a difference! It’s gorgeous! Definitely what I needed for a very pleasant stay.Will 100% be returning in the near future! This will be a little getaway for me more regularly!     Cheap holiday!

    We stayed here at the end of August as a family of 3 and paid the fully inclusive option which equated to approx. £28 per day per person for breakfast/lunch/dinner- all drinks and snacks. Hamburgers/sandwiches/hotdogs the choice for AI guests changed daily! .. The food was basic but always something to eat. Microwave available if you wanted the food hotter. Rooms basic (but if you want 5 star you pay for it)- hotel was clean- staff always friendly-pool was deep-Always sunbeds availableTrain line 5 minute walk away so great for venturing along the costa del sol/airportBeach 10 minute walk away 5 minutes in a taxi from the airportSet in a quiet area-We looked at the reviews before we booked and got what we paid for!We had a great holiday!!! And to reiterate if you want 4/5 star accommodation/food etc etc then book accordingly!!Would definitely re visit this hotel!     The hotel is pretty basic. The reception area had a really strong smell of drains throughout our stay which wasn't pleasant. We were all inclusive which was good during the day but in the evening there was only 1 person serving drinks on all 3 nights we were there, the queues often got to 20-30 people deep.Some fixtures were pretty dangerous - the panel in the lift could be pulled back exposing the wires, my rooms fuse board was a couple cm's of the wall exposing the wires, we were in room 503.     Not a bad hotel for the money we paid even though we paid fully inclusive i don't think it was worth it to pay the extra , we as a family did`nt like the food much in the four days we were there we went out at night to dine, the pool and restaurant/bar were good but at night when busy was under staffed so there was always a queue, some of the staff were helpful and friendly whilst others were not, and the room was ok their con din`nt have any control so was very cold and was set to low on climate Control,even though they cleaned th room every day my grandson who is crawling crawled under the bed which was very dusty the food was on hotplates which could ve been there for hours was cold and hard so when we did eat there it was only salads the pool bar was charging for food hot dogs pizza etc at a discounted rate so really wasn't all inclusive, so over all we will not be staying at this hotel again HotelRoyalCosta, Community Manager at BLUESEA Costa Serena, responded to this review Dear Richadd,We would love you to give us a second opportunity to show you the good services we offer.     My husband paid for me and my friend to visit this hotel for my 30th birthday.The rooms are small and the balcony was tiny but they were clean and tidy. The air con wasn't the best and its the type of hotel where you have to leave the keycard in to use the electric so leaving it on during the day wasn't an option.The pools were busy but the water was warm enough and clean. The main pool was 1.5m at the shallow end so not great for non swimmers but there is also a kids pool. There were plenty of sunbeds and they are stacked so u can place them where you like (i prefered the grass area to the pool).The food selection was rather limited but, again, it was fresh and warm.The staff were friendly and helpful despite the fact that most of them spoke limited English.The beach is a 15 min walk away and there are some lovely bars there.Location isn't great but there is a train station a few mins away.Overall a decent hotel but i probably wouldn't return.
