Good apartments, bad location

After returning from our August 10 day holiday, I find myself writing this review with mixed opinionsThe book 10 nights with On the Beach we stayed in apartment 21 down near the kids area. Our daughter was 17 so no real desire to be located back close to the kids area.The hotel itself is basic, but has everything you would need the Poole could get a little crowded during the busy times, but we always found a sunbedBreakfast is good and varied lots of choice from English fry up to fruits and pastriesThe apartment is spacious comfortable and has everything you would need we were in a two bedroom apartment. The master bedroom has ensuite and there was a secondary small bathroom for the other bedroom.The apartment had ironing board and iron for washing machine plenty of storage there is a maid service once a week however every four days new towels and sheets are provided due to change yourselfIt’s worth noting that On the Beach advertised this complex as having entertainment and the shuttle bus either of those are now in Serv-ICE the bar closes at 8 pm and the restaurant closes for snacks at 4 pmThe apartments are located at the top of a very long and steep hill so you have to be good at walking. I’m first impressions and it appears that you are in the middle of nowhere. However with a little exploring you can find plenty of places to eat find live music and lovely little shops. There is a bus route at the bottom of the hill which takes you all the way to Marbella in One I would recommend going to the brown tobacconist shop and investing in a Green bus card. You can preload money onto this card and it makes the bus journeys significantly cheaper.A taxi from the neighbouring town of Mijgas it’s about 8 to €10 back to the apartments so not particularly expensiveI would return to the apartment now I know the area a little bit better all in all we had a pleasant stay Crown Resorts Club Marbella, Encargado del hostal at Crown Resorts Club Marbella, responded to this review Dear Darren, Thank you for sharing such a detailed and positive review of our apartments, facilities and breakfast. Another excellent family holiday at Crown resorts. Top apartments, great pool including an indoor pool/spa area, Cafe Marbella for drinks and food, always friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of bars/restaurants within a five min walk and the nearest beach no more than a 15 min stroll. A hire car beneficial if you want to explore the local area, although local bus service available. This is the second time we have visited this resort. Our apartment on two levels was great. A balcony overlooking the pool. A kitchen that met all our needs (albeit my partner and the hob didn’t get on!!) Downstairs. A twin with a balcony and bathroom. A double with own bathroom and view of the pool. Yes. The furniture is a little dated. But was perfect for what we needed. The resort is great. The attention to detail. Watching the staff early morning cleaning the pool, the glass barriers, seating area. Perfect. We ate at the restaurant twice. Food was amazing. Again. Perfect service. Our last day the flight wasn’t until late. We could use the facilities and given towels so we could shower before leaving the resort. In all honesty. One of the best resorts we have ever stayed in and can’t wait to return.
