Location

    not a bad place to stay with some issues

    The apartment is in a good location an easy 15 minutes walk to Balcon de Europa - quit area of town - the apt was clean - only issues the bathtub rusted and ants in kitchen counter - do not leave any food out or else the army of ants will come.Walls very thin could hear the neighbours talk next door until 10pm almost every night.Response and communication was always prompt and accurate - met us upon arrival which was great, with the keys and instructions.Overall not so bad.

    I stayed here last week with 2 adult family members and we were very happy with the accommodation. The host Carmen was attentive and communicated well with us, organised a cab for us on our last day and made sure we were happy with the facilities. The apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped for self catering. The building is in a beautiful location very close to local shops and restaurants just a few hundred meters from the sea. Definitely happy we stayed here!

    The apartments clean , spacious and in an excellent location; two minutes from the beach and on the corner of a pedestrianized street. Barely any further to a range of restaurants, minimarts and a pharmacy.Carmen and the rest of the staff are warm, friendly and efficient.Recommend.

    We booked a one bedroom apartment and it was on the ground floor, alongside a pedestrian walkway...so no balcony but a patio instead. The apartment had plenty of space for two and the kitchenette had everything we needed. Satellite TV means you can watch some telly in English if you like! There is a washing machine and line for drying in a private courtyard at the back of the apartment. Handy if you've been on the road for a while. The check in went fine, Ana speaks good English. Its not so far to walk to the main touristy areas and there are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. The beach at the end of the street is small pebbles and fine sand...much of this coast seems to be like this.

    Ambiguous Advertising of Apartments

    We booked the Fercomar Apartments online believing that we were getting an apartment with a balcony. This was mentioned on the print-out after booking. However, this was not the case. When we arrived at the apartment we were told that all one bedroom apartments were on the ground floor and that all two bedroom apartments were on the upper floors. Our ground floor apartment was dark requiring lights to be switched on while in the apartment. The sun never shone on the terrace either morning or evening. When booking I emailed the apartment to say my return flight on the departure date was late in the evening. Flight was at 11.50 pm. The management emailed back saying that there would be no problem in storing our luggage. After arriving we learned that we would have to take out our luggage by 3.00 pm on day of departure. We later got that time extended to 5.00 pm. The building is not set up for the storage of any luggage for guests. There is a small reception office where only a few cases could be stored beside the seating area. Nerja is a beautiful place and well worth visiting. We will definitely be back to Nerja, but not to the Fercomar. Fercomar T, Gerente at Apartamentos Turisticos Fercomar, responded to this review Hi Tim, the one bedroom apartment is on the ground floor. There are people who love the ground floor, since it has no balcony, but a terrace. We regret that this was not your case. Sorry for the misunderstanding with the luggage, but we always offer our guests to store their luggage on arrival and on the day of check out until 3:00 p.m., although on some occasions, as your case we make exceptions and keep the luggage for longer.
