  Bad service, bad wifi, bad hotel

  We ar a couple in our twenties and it’s a kids hotel whitch we didn’t know until we got there, that’s fine. But the all inclusive was terrible, snacks was just dessert or hotdogs, same food for lunch and dinner almost every day. Wordt of all was the wifi was not working for us at all, we told reception and they just said yes ypur wifi is working and left it at that. Really bad service.   Great food, splash park and near by beaches.

  We stayed at this hotel from May 4th for one week — 2 adults, a 14-year-old, a 3-year-old, and a 10-month-old — and we all really enjoyed our stay.Positives* The food was fantastic with plenty of variety every day for all of us.* The room and balcony were both a great size.* My toddler loved the animal theme throughout the hotel with lots of different animal decorations around.* The pool was a nice size. Although the outdoor pool was very cold this time of year, it was great to have access to the indoor heated pool. We didn’t mind paying extra for the swimming caps.* The water park was within walking distance and made for a great day out.. Beaches walking distance. * Staff in the restaurant were very friendly and welcoming.* It was also nice having food available outside by the pool if you didn’t want to go inside for lunch.Cons* Prices in the hotel shop and vending machines were very expensive, probably because there are no nearby shops. For example, we forgot our baby’s Sudocrem and paid €16 for a tiny tub.* The sofa bed was uncomfortable for our 14-year-old. It was made up of a couch and a single bed pushed together, which would separate during the night.* The area can get a little boring after a few days as there isn’t much nearby, so we’d recommend planning a few day trips. However, the bus service was easy to use and accessible.. Soft play you have to leave your child with the kids club to have a turn which isn’t advertised, I wouldn’t leave my children with strangers. . Arcade machines are unfortunately broken. Overall, we had a lovely family holiday and made some great memories.   Lovely staff but rock hard beds

  We stayed for 5 nights grandparents with a 7 yr old and a 4 yr old in a sky suite The room was fab loads of space with a lovely garden area with loungers and a hanging chair and outdoor shower .We found it very clean All inclusive the food was pretty good themed nights and we had the same table every night which we found ideal with the little ones The beach club was amazing loads to do very clean and we spent most of the time here .Negatives .. the hotel pool is absolutely freezing ! The room beds are rock hard like sleeping on a table.But the main negative is the evening entertainment is terrible apart from the mini disco and an average magic show there wasn’t much else geared for the kids and considering this is a family resort we found it very poor Apart from that the staff were very friendly and the shuttle bus down to the beach club was ideal x Riwo Hotel, General Manager at Holiday World Riwo, Affiliated by Melia, responded to this review Thank you for your kind review.   An ok hotel but not special

  This is an honest review of Hotel Riwo following our stay in April 2026 as a family of 4 (3 year old and 1 year old). This hotel was pleasant, it had everything we needed and was mostly very clean. We did encounter some issues which i’ll put below -Positives : food, entertainment & beach club. The food was nice, it wasn’t anything fancy but I feel they made a good effort and we enjoyed it. The staff working in the food area are very friendly and go above and beyond. They made a special cake for my son’s birthday and sang to him which was nice. I would rate their customer service 10 out of 10. Every night they do a different theme which is fun and they make an effort at the entrance with special drinks.Victor in the entertainment is amazing with the kids. My child is very shy so he didn’t actually join in but Victor was very good considering the room is dull and needs a full revamp. Victor probably deserves a raise! The beach club with all the pools is the main attraction to this hotel. You can easily spend several days here and we often walked to the local beaches in the afternoons. The beaches are good sandy ones with plenty to do and it’s easy to get back if you walk to the bus which runs every 10 minutes to and from the beach club to the hotels. The pool at the hotel is small but it’s fine for little kids - not much else going on though so you are your own entertainment! Negatives: hotel is majorly outdated, softplay is only accessible if you LEAVE your child and the arcade is mostly broken.So our room was very spacious and it did meet our needs. However it was very outdated and ugly. Our lock on our door did not work leaving us unsafe every single night. The maintenance man came the first day said he would come back tomorrow (never arrived) I complained at the desk which were very apologetic but actually no one ever fixed it. We experienced a major leak from the shower and my 1 yr old slipped then banged his head really bad. Another maintenance man came immediately to fix it but still no room change or upgrade. The drains outside are unbelievably dirty and uncovered. This was a huge issue with our son who kept sticking his fingers in them! Cleaners did come everyday for a basic clean but sheets were not changed and floor not cleaned. Main reason we booked this hotel was for the soft play as my kids love it & obviously April is not always very warm. Turns out the soft play is within the kids club which you are not allowed to access as an adult. My son is incredibly shy, he won’t talk to anyone and would not leave our side. Nor do I want to leave my 3 year old with strangers in another country! It was nearly always empty so think most parents feel the same? I asked the staff if I could stay for 10 minutes to help him warm up then wait at the door for him which they said no. They said the rules are kids have to come alone! This is poorly advertised. The park is actually sad, it’s falling apart wobbling all over the place and filthy. Not even worth visiting it. It is very hard to use all inclusive drinks because there is only 1 bar at the pool during the day and the rest are closed. Also not all drinks are free such as iced coffee or slushies. You can get ice cream in a pot but any other ice creams you have to pay for. The snack bar is a shambles it’s literally dry stale bread (no butter) stacked on top of each other with ham and cheese. It was SO bad - some hot food the days the decided to open it but again it was not good. The arcade at this hotel is awful. None of it works and it’s got like 4 machines. The sister hotel has a great arcade however again only half of it works. I lost 10 euros trying different machines to which I told the lady working there. She said oh yeah there an electrical issue so they don’t work! No refund, no sign and she turned round to sit on her phone ignoring me. The bowling however was great and worked well as it’s self service. I would say all in all it’s a nice hotel, the staff are great but it’s very run down and needs some major work. If you plan to stay here then definitely book one of the sister hotels as they are MUCH nicer. They have so much more there and definitely have a wow factor with the amazing reception areas. I wouldn’t return to riwo because of the above and would not recommend family or friends to stay only because of how much is broken. It’s important to note we only paid 900 pounds for a family for four for 5 nights all inclusive so obviously we didn’t expect it to be perfect and my kids did have fun since they are so little anyway. I would probably rather pay the extra 1000 pounds for a special hotel. If you have already booked it won’t be awful but it also won’t blow you away.
