Location

This hotel is wonderfully situated, right beside the beautiful sandy beach. Shopping facilities, restaurants, bars and nightclubs are all within walking distance of the hotel (1500 m). Public transport, providing links to the town centre 3 km away, departs from a stop located directly in front of the hotel. Malaga Airport is approximately 20 km away.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 6 suites and 279 double rooms located in a 4-storey main building and a 7-storey auxiliary building. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand, a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed or a queen-size bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror and a telephone are available for daily use. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. The hotel has family rooms and 285 non-smoking rooms.

Sport

Guests can work out or just relax in the outdoor and indoor pools. Kids can splash about in a special swimming area just for them. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub (for a fee). Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sun terrace. Sport and leisure facilities at the hotel include a gym, table tennis and billiards. There is a wellness area with a spa and a hammam and, for an additional fee, a sauna, a steam bath, a beauty salon, massage treatments, anti-ageing treatments and Ayurveda treatments. Guests of all ages have the opportunity to enjoy a fun entertainment programme.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant (with high chairs), a café and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. At breakfast and dinner, guests serve themselves at the generous buffet. Various dishes can be ordered à la carte for lunch and dinner. Special meals, including diet meals, are also available. The hotel also offers special catering options. The chefs prepare delicious specialities during the show cooking. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Spent a fabulous few days with friends here. Staff very helpful, and friendly. Breakfasts were great, can definitely recommend the poached eggs on toast. Rooms very clean and beds great. Only downside side air conditioning wasn’t the best so room got hot. Apart from that everything else brilliant

    Unacceptable lack of basic amenities for a 4-star business stay

    I booked a week-long stay at the IPV Palace Hotel & Spa for over US$200 per night while in town to present at a conference. For a self-proclaimed 4-star hotel at this price point, the amenities are shockingly inadequate. Just to give one example (of many), the hotel fails to provide basic ironing facilities. As a conference presenter, I was forced to present in creased shirts and trousers every single day. If you are traveling for business, attending a formal event, or simply expect standard 4-star amenities, look elsewhere. A profoundly disappointing experience. (Can I give ZERO stars!)

    I think this hotel is about 20 years old, built to a traditional moorish design, but inside I think there sculptures, artworks and other exhibits are excellent. The round pillars, columns and high ceilings are very unique especially in the entrance lobby. Check in seemed to take longer than normal but the reception staff were very polite. They said we had a room upgrade, (I don’t know why), it seemed an ordinary dark room on the 1st floor, but was very clean and tidy. The pool area is fantastic, the gardens and grounds are well maintained especially the specimen trees which are well manicured. There are plenty of sun beds, pool water quality seemed very good, but there is lots of algae in the walls and bottom joints of the pool and is a bit off putting, although I realise with such a large irregular shaped pool it’s not easy to sweep but the maintenance should be way better. The pool bar is an excellent facility and the service is good. Breakfast and dinner buffets also good. I would recommend this hotel for a more quieter stay in this area, location, free parking and very comfortable accommodation.

    Just back from a very relaxing week. Stayed in Ronda building on third floor,with a great sea view . Spotless large room and good sized bathroom. Asked for kettle when checking in and it was delivered within minutes. Small fridge was good and kept the wine and beer chilled ! Cleaners did a great job every day. Enjoyed the pool area daily which again was spotless. Pool looked very inviting,but did not go in. We did find the sun beds uncomfortable ,but bought a couple of mattresses from large supermarket in shopping centre. They made a difference. We were bed and breakfast and quality was very good. Everything you could possibly need. Fruit juice not great- very sweet. We had the club sandwich one dinner time at pool bar , again good. Service was pretty slow at times and they seemed to get orders wrong quite frequently. However , staff were friendly and as we were on holiday it didn’t irk us too much. Long walk into centre was fine for us. Worked up an appetite ! So much choice with regards to restaurants. Loads of side streets with everyone eating outside. A couple of times we were back late, so caught a taxi , around 8 euros. So all in all a great chilled week, with friendly staff and very clean accommodation. We will certainly return in the future.

    Hotel IPV Palace & Spa - a really nice hotel, a walk from the main area but we had recognised and booked with that in mind. Housekeeping service was excellent and worthy of a tip at the end of our stay. Breakfast was excellent, varied and we used the beach bar for lunch on more than one occasion - all good! We would have tried the evening buffet but felt overpriced. Staff are pleasant and helpful, plenty of sunbeds mid May. All good!
