  Wonderful to see all the same excellent staff on reception who are extremely helpful and competent. We had a problem on our first night which was dealt with super efficiently, rooms as always well cleaned and comfortable the location is probably one of the best in torremolinos, Mum and I had a great shopping trip thanks to all at Hotel Kristal

  The location was fab bang in the centre, hotel staff nice. very basic and beware not all rooms have balcony's we were lucky and it was massive. The rooftop terrace with the shower on and sunbeds is nothing like in the picture there is just 2 tables and chairs and the Artificial Grass is all ripped and shredded shame really as a couple of thousand pounds on new Artificial Grass and sunbeds put back it would look nice, all in all would we go back ? Yes as it was 24 hour reception not like a lot of apartments we have stopped in in Torremolinos

  I stayed at the kristal from the 2nd september for 5 nights. Before i went i sent them a email to see if they had a room with a walk in shower. All the staff were all very nice. I was given room 125 on the first floor. The room had the walk in shower and two single beds, it was a good size room. Very clean and beds were made every day and clean towels. I did not eat there, i like to go out to eat. But i was very pleased with my experience, and would definitly stay there again.

  Air con nightmare

  We've stayed here many times and never had any issues.On this occasion we had a room where the Aircon was not working only blowing out warm air. I appreciate it was very hot but this is Spain after all and you'd expect it to work.We complained on day one only for them to come to the room and with 'their' remote control turn it down to its lowest setting, we had no remote!That evening it was still blowing out warm air and they then suggested it was too late for the maintenance to look at it again.That evening we ended up sleeping on the balcony as it was unbearably hot in the room.Complained again the next morning after zero sleep and a few hours later a man arrived with a compressor and ended up blowing dust from the Aircon unit.We left the room for the morning leaving the Aircon going and on our return it was still blowing hot air.Having now asked twice to be moved they suggested all rooms were full and that wasn't an option. They couldn't provide us with a fan either after asking at reception.We asked to be moved that night and again no other room was available ( also suggested we should have told them earlier so as they could have fixed it ??) we ended up booking another hotel for the evening as sleep deprivation was well and truly set in .We stayed the night at another hotel at our cost and went promptly back to the Kristal the next morning requesting another room for our last evening.They did put us in another room and all was well although this was a normal room with no balcony but that really wasn't an issue.As I mentioned above we have stayed here several times, it's budget but does the job and the staff are great, I believe Antonio was the guy who booked us in and he was great.Sadly we will never visit this hotel again as we felt let down and the maintenance did very little to fix an obviously out of date broken air con unit.As above it was very hot and I appreciate that but these things maybe should be addressed in the colder months.Adiós Kristal
