Location

This hotel is situated in a superb location about 3 km from Torremolinos. It is located close to the Benelmadena complex and the city is accessed along a promenade. The centre is 2 km from the hotel and there are a range of wonderful bars and restaurants in the surrounding area.

Facility

Units include 293 non-smoking rooms located in a 7-storey main building and a 3-storey auxiliary building. The reception desk is open round the clock. A safe, a currency exchange service, 24-hour room service and a laundry service are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. A bicycle hire service (for a fee) gives guests the opportunity to explore the surrounding area independently.

    Beautifully recently refurbished hotel. Every single member of staff showed a polite and happy attitude with quick and efficient service. Excellent location in the middle of everything from beach to promenades and great restaurants and bars. We were on half board and the depth and variety of food was excellent- one minor point coffee and tea at breakfast could be better but small detail

    Xmas present to my husband son and pregnant DIL . Very recently renovated , we were worried as there were still diggers there month before . It was excellent , best Xmas present ever ! We had lovely rooms overlooking pool. , their room 208 was MUCH bigger than ours 109.The massive TV dividing bed from sofa I found odd but my pregnant DIL loved it .     We had been to Hotel Riu Nautilus a couple of times, 2 and 3 years ago. When we heard that there had been an upgrade to the facility we were keen to see what had been done!     All reviews are subjective. Some people may have had the opposite experience to me, whilst others may have had a similar experience. Firstly the room: this was in the main block of the hotel and the type of room is not advertised on their app or website. I attach a picture of the room I was allocated, the one with the TV slap bang in the middle of the room with only a couple of feet either side to get past and to try and sit on the sofa and try to put on your shoes in most annoying, there isn't enough room. In addition you can easily bang into it in the middle of the night if you need to go to the toilet. The cabinet the TV sits on is on pedestal and therefore you can easily catch you ankle on the cornet of the cabinet when walking past. Whilst, this Hotel has had a refit the fittings are very cheap and can easily come away in your hand (see photos). In addition the ceiling above the toilet must have, or had a leak as the ceiling was all stained. The restaurant food was reasonable but the buffet layout area is too small. There was always a queue, sometime 3 deep to get to the salad bar and the whole area can get very congested. On one occasion, on the show cooking they had a roast leg of pork and the 'Chef' was happily carving the meat and handing it out, even though there was blood was oozing out of the joint. I think someone must have said something and a few minutes later when I returned to that section, the leg of pork had been replaced with a new one. In general, the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was cleaned well. I have stayed in many Riu Palace hotels over the years and this one has not reached the 'Palace' standard yet.
