Disappointing. I have been coming here for 20 years . I have top level at the hotel so should get priority. You would think not this year. Requested 2 rooms together 12months ago. Ended up with one on top floor and one on bottom floor in different blocks. Also on check in requested booking for 8 at the restaurant, on arrival no booking. Requested new towels no joy had to go to reception to pick some up. The service has really gone down hill.

Setting is relatively ok. Apartments are fine, clean and well appointed. Checkin took an eternity with manual input of passport info. Kids pool does the job but food options are extremely limited both during the day and evenings. Most bizarre is having to have credit on account to charge anything to your room and being asked to settle the bill ahead of the stay at check in. Almost like they are expecting you to be disappointed and not pay. We were chased for credit on our account for bars/restaurants at 9.30pm in our room even after paying 500e at reception 2 hours earlier that they hadn’t recorded. So far we’ve had 5 emails and 3 calls to attend the timeshare hard sell. Staff are lovely on the whole though. Doubt we’ll be back but 3 bed apartments in a hotel arent easy to find so who knows. 5* rating is generous overall but ancillaries are 5* priced.

We had a wonderful stay at Marriott’s Marbella Beach Resort. The customer service was outstanding, especially at the reception and concierge, where the staff was always friendly, welcoming, and eager to help.The accommodations were excellent. The rooms are exceptionally spacious, beautifully decorated, spotless, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The beach is absolutely breathtaking, and the quality of the beach beds and umbrellas makes it an ideal place to relax and enjoy the Mediterranean.There are, however, a few areas that could make this resort even better. Breakfast currently begins at 8:30 a.m., which is too late for guests leaving early for tours or day trips. A 7:00 or 7:30 a.m. start would be much more convenient. Additionally, the breakfast selection should showcase more authentic Spanish cuisine rather than focusing primarily on a standard continental breakfast. One of the greatest pleasures of vacationing in Spain is enjoying its incredible food.The restaurant menu could also be improved by offering more traditional Spanish dishes instead of emphasizing pizza, hamburgers, and chicken wings. The limited menu often encourages guests to dine elsewhere in the evenings. Adding room service would also be a valuable enhancement.Finally, the resort would benefit from beach bar service, more entertainment throughout the day and evening, and a livelier atmosphere with music and activities that appeal to younger guests. At times, the resort feels geared primarily toward older visitors.Overall, despite these suggestions, we had an excellent stay. The outstanding service, beautiful accommodations, and spectacular beachfront location make this a resort we would gladly recommend and visit again. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary resort at this property with our children and their spouses. We chose this resort because of all the properties we have stayed at over the years, this was our favorite.
