Lovely resort - with one bad experience

We had a mainly great time - we loved the indoor pool and hot tubs which opened till 10pm. The bingo and quiz were good fun. The kitchen facilities were superb which made it easy to relax with extended family. The shared BBQ hot plates were lovely to cook on. It was just a one off which soured it, and I doubt/hope it would happen again. While a spin class was taking place my children and I were playing padel and the music from the class blasted very loudly a very rude swear word. This space is right next to the children’s pool. I raised it and while they apologised I don’t feel it was taken seriously enough as surely it is their responsibility to make sure swear words aren’t blurted out through a sound system near children in the middle of the day.

A great place for a family vacation

We are recently returned from a week-long vacation at Marriott's Playa Andaluza on the Costa del Sol. We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. It was extremely comfortable, clean and very family friendly. The property is very pretty. We were a family group of 10 and occupied 3 different apartments (two 2 bedrooms and 3 bedrooms). The hotel staff from the front desk, concierge desk, pool staff and cleaning staff were all very accommodating, responsive and helpful. Everyone made our stay very enjoyable. As you can imagine, planning for a group can be a challenge. Tommasso on the concierge desk and everyone at the front desk, Ania, Alex, Miguel, Johanna (and others) answered all my many, many pre-visit emails in a prompt way. Tommasso sent us many ideas for excursions (we went to Gibraltar) and restaurants and arranged a car rental for us which was delivered to the hotel. All our many requests were responded to and addressed. On our last evening, we even asked Ruben on the concierge desk to help us order food from a nearby restaurant! It can get a bit noisy at night as people tend to stay up later in Spain. The hotel is very comfortable and terrific for kids-many pools and a lovely beach. Location: Difficult to get to, Atmosphere: Fine, Room: 2bd Villa, OKValue: Fair, Cleanliness: Average, Nosie Level: Quiet, Service: Above Average- very nice check-in and Concierge -Tomaso, was were very helpful in booking our tee times and setting up travel arrangements!Amenities: Lacking: Outdoor jacuzzi (5) cold, non existent beach with homeless camp 100 ft away. 1 restaurant on site and very few near-by unless you rent a car. Spa: Substandard. What really saved us was Barrow Pub, thank you Wally! Noise pollution

Beautiful resort. Fabulous apartment. Unfortunately week was spoiled by unbearable noise coming from a nearby beach bar 6pm to midnight. Repetitive loud booming base. Not much better inside with doors and windows closed. Unable to sit on the balcony to enjoy the nice evening temperatures.
