Location

This pleasant beach hotel is located in the tourist centre of Benalmadena, only 60 metres from the beach. Numerous boutiques, cafés, bars and restaurants are found in the neighbourhood. Public transport is only a stone's throw from the hotel. There is also a variety of nightclubs nearby.

Facility

The hotel has 210 rooms, including suites, apartments, 15 single rooms and 185 double rooms, which are located on 7 storeys and are reachable by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available.     Just returned from stay at Medplaya Alba Beach, very impressed with hotel and staff who were friendly and welcoming. Hotel was spotless. Maids came every day to refresh room. Pool area was clean with plenty of sunbeds but they could do with renewing as they were not very comfortable.We stayed breakfast only so cannot comment on lunch or evening meals.Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.Will definitely return! Had a great time!

    The hotel was spotless. The staff was very friendly & helpful. We had half board the food at breakfast & evening meal had large variety to suit everyone diet. The drinks prices was not expensive. What entertainment in hotel was good for all ages .     On arrival, I have to say the receptionist was anything but pleasant but that was not a reflection on the rest of staff as they were courteous and polite. Rooms were clean although the bathroom could be doing with some up dating and although some people may like a bath I personally dont and I dislike when shower is included, wothin it. That's just my preference though. Tea/coffe making facilities and a mini fridge also included in our room. Breakfast had loads of choice, including freshly made pancakes and fried eggs, so nothing was left sitting. It was a bit noisy at peak times but thats to be expected in a large environment. I would stay here again, although it's a good half hour walk to harbour and central shops/bars. There are restaurants and shops also close by, it just depends what you are looking for.     A "Maravilloso" Stay at Medplaya Hotel Alba

    My mum and I just returned from a 6-night stay at the Medplaya Hotel Alba, and I honestly couldn't fault it. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing mother-daughter holiday. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome we received made us feel right at home—or as they say in Spain, como en casa.The Room: Views for DaysOur room was impressive. It was spacious enough for the two of us to sleep comfortably and get ready without tripping over each other. The bathroom was great for showering after a long day in the sun, but the real highlight was the lovely balcony.The Views: We had stunning vistas of both the sparkling blue sea and the rugged mountains.The Vibe: Sitting on that balcony in the evenings with the Mediterranean breeze was pure felicidad.Impeccable Standards & ServiceI have to compliment the hotel on its impeccable cleanliness. Everything was spotless, from the lobby to the corridors. But what truly makes this hotel special is the staff.Every employee we passed had a smile and a warm "hola" for us.A special shout-out to the bar manager, who was so attentive and kind that he became almost like a friend to us by the end of the week. ¡Muchas gracias!Dining & EntertainmentThe food was another high point.
