Location

This hotel lies right by the beautiful sandy beach in the peaceful Andalusian town of Torre del Mar, close to Seville, Ronda, Granada and Córdoba. A variety of bars, nightclubs and restaurants, where the famous fried fish from Málaga may be sampled, are to be found in the vicinity, as are links to the public transport network. The river is around 10-minutes away and the nearest shopping opportunities are around 3 km away. The closest lake is located 15 km away. Cuevas de Nerja lies about a 15-minute car journey away. Málaga airport lies about 30 km from the hotel and the famous historical centre of Málaga and the Picasso Museum are both around 35 km from the hotel.

Facility

3 single rooms and 18 double rooms are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by lift. Guests are warmly welcomed by English-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and drinks machine. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A number of sports are available, including water sports such as windsurfing and snorkelling.     Great location, spotless rooms, and warm service at Hotel Miraya.

    Hotel Miraya is in a fantastic location—just across a quiet road from the beach in Torre del Mar, making it perfect for easy seaside access. Our superior room was spotlessly clean and serviced daily, and came equipped with a safe, fridge, and kettle. However, only two paper cups were provided for hot drinks, with no additional crockery or cutlery, which felt a little basic.Breakfast was included in our booking and served by the waitress from a small menu. Options included a hot and cold drink, and a choice of either a toasted sandwich or toast with jam. While simple, it was freshly prepared and served with care.A special mention goes to Montse, our delightful waitress. She remembered our names and drink preferences, and her warm, friendly manner made breakfast a pleasure each morning. My attempts at speaking Spanish were met with encouragement and smiles, which added a lovely personal touch to our stay.One unexpected downside: a friend of ours who lives locally came to visit, but was not allowed to join us in our room. The receptionist asked her to wait downstairs while we went up, which we found a little strange—especially as we were all female and no explanation was given. It didn’t spoil our stay, but it’s worth noting for anyone expecting to host visitors.Given the location and the price we paid, I’d definitely recommend Hotel Miraya to anyone travelling on a budget who values cleanliness and friendly service.Top tip: Cross the road and enjoy a meal at Casa Miguel on the beachfront—the food, drinks, and ambiance are all excellent.     We are staying in this lovely hotel at the moment. All the staff are very friendly & welcoming. We are in room 9 & is very light, clean & comfortable. The shower is excellent. The balcony looks out to the sea & is a great place to chill & watch the world go by.     Great location only 2 mins from beach and restaurants. Room7 single room has air conditioning,safe,fridge,tv,great shower and free wifi. Hotel is spotless I wold like to thank the very friendly and helpful staff.     A great little hotel, friendly staff, small but comfortable , off white painted rooms, ( not like those depicted on the website ) , spotlessly clean…on the sea front , a short walk to the beach and local shops and restaurants . Comfortable bed , superior rooms have balconies. Quiet air con..Regular change of linen and towels. No restaurant but a small cafe for breakfast ( 3€ or 5€ ) and toasties and great service ! A lift from the first floor to the rooms but disabled access possible from the cafe : bath with adjustable shower. Would we return. …. .? Yes . Torre del Mar is a really great little town…… but lacking in a good cigar shop ! Other than that it’s got everything you need ; it basically caters for Spanish tourists but there are a few English bars away from the paseo . Amazing sea food available nearby. Beach is dark sand but stretches for miles …… almost!
