  Really nice and well-equipped villa and a lush pool and amazing viewsthe only downside, wifi never went above 1mb on a speed test and kept dropping out which is ok but the tv is internet based constant watering of the mango trees breaks the silence as well and the aircon is only in the bedroomsall in all the villa is in a great place with beautiful views which make up for the little niggleswould I go here again........... defiantly

  Perfect location as a base, car required but not essential when you are on site, as very good shuttle service to and from Nerja.Villa 33 Mandrinos San Juan beautiful villa with fantistic views over Nerja, especially at night. Community pool very close along with a few bars and restaurants, but for a euro you can be in Nerja within 15 min. Taxi 7 euro back to villa. Had only two issues TV did not work and parosol was broken, once reported fixed following morning.Excellant holiday would revisit againWould have liked to have walked a bit more within complex but two hilly. Hence car was a plus. Huge complex, so if you get a transfer from airport to reception you either have to get a taxi to your villa or staff would provide a lift. Complex size of Citi west for those who know Dublin. Daily charge of sun loungers and parasols at pools not cool, as this accomadation is not cheap.

  Capistrano playa apartment 116 (La Joya)Unless you have an affinity with a mountain goat you’re not going to like this place, I’m quite fit and even I got chest pains climbing 157 steep steps to get up and down from our apartment to the beach. I would have driven but there’s no parking. So as a beach holiday it has been a complete disaster, as pensioners we managed the “mountain “, only once. Not mentioned in the description by Booking.com by the way.I’m a pretty easy going person but this booking was incredibly stressful and difficult, god forbid you have an iffy internet connection cause you’ll never be allowed here. After you have paid them this company sends emails and WhatsApp messages to fill in online forms using words like “Mandatory and Obligatory “, so You have to take photos of your passports fill out 4 pages of information about yourself and any other guests sign the forms electronically and pay online for your security deposit which they hang onto at least a day or so after you have left their property, all this pointless rigmarole and yet they still insist they meet you at the property with the keys, lazy imbeciles. The apartment is completely overlooked by everyone else and its interior is so dated and dirty it’s shocking, we had to call Casasol as the shower fell to pieces , please see the photos. The patio sunbeds were totally disgusting , as shown in my photos. To add to the misery the upstairs neighbours sounded as though they were in our apartment, the noise level begs belief when you can hear your neighbour using the bathroom .We have stayed in better accommodation for a quarter of the price. My advice, don’t throw your money away on this dreadful place. One final warning, there are a couple of large ponds on the complex which are a breeding ground for mosquitoes, we were bitten several times so if you’re unfortunate enough to stay here don’t forget your mosquito spray. I have made a formal complaint to booking.com, prior to our arrival ( we would have cancelled but we would have lost 50% of our payment) and complained again after departure, as always their response is “put your comments in your review “, which I have done. We also complained to Casasol prior to arrival and again when they met us on move in. So please owners of this property take responsibility and don’t bother coming back with pathetic excuses, I wrote my review with complete honesty, ( photos don’t lie) so don’t try and sugarcoat my thoughts, comments and opinions, the paying public need to be made fully aware of what they’re paying for. Just to let you know I’ve used booking.com for well over a decade and after 100’s of bookings I’ve achieved genius level and more importantly I’ve only ever given a couple of negative reviews.

  A disappointing 4th time, waist of money, never again.

  This was our 4th stay over the years and the 1 bedroom “villa” we booked through Expedia (61B) was very disappointing: it felt like a prison, too basic, worn out and dirty bathroom. We paid for a full week but decided the leave after one night and booked something else making us more happy. We asked for a different “villa”, but reception said is was fully booked despite the availability on Expedia and Booking. A waist of money for us and obvious a lottery in what kind of “villa” you end up. For us never again.
