  Hello or should i say hola,location is spot on,lovely and friendly atmosphere. I stayed here for a week on my own, they made me feel welcome, room was cleaned every day, breakfast was plentiful and varied. I have just booked my next holiday for next year at this lovely hotel for two weeks can't wait, I would like to thank the management and staff, and looking forward to seeing you all again soon.   Great value spotless hotel brilliant location 👏

  Checked in for a week in this brilliantly located hotel right on the paseo with everything close by to the left and right .Room basic and had a rear facing view of a street to the back of the building small balcony with two chairs but I was happy. Room spotlessly clean and all I needed for my stay powerful shower, clean bed extra pillows .I brought my own travel kettle and iron and of course a 4 gang extension lead ( try the nescafe 3-1 sachets ) .plenty of hanging space and hangers full length mirrors and a card operated safe (free of charge ) .Check in was easy and very professional and always found the reception staff very cordial and friendly although I had no cause to inquire about anything . Went for breakfast twice during my stay and it was first class hot options (sausage ,egg ,beans ) and continental and I paid €10 and could have ate what ever I wanted so good value and pleased with it . Room cleaned every day ,fresh towels and bed changed and such a brilliant job done by cleaning staff really noticeable throughout the hotel how clean it is 👍👍 shower gel and hand soap provided, tv in room i used it for radio when alexa not on .Overall cant fault it I got a great price for my room and apart from having a sea view (I walked instead) I cannot complain the opposite really thought it was great .would go back and great value 👌Ohh forgot to mention the pool went often and its peace and quiet its small 1.25m deep and can swing about no bother its on the roof top and with plenty of adjustable loungers. The views are to die for over fuengirola think I spent more time checking that out than in the pool honestly if you like watching the world go by its a great spot to do that . Most I seen up there was about 5 guests mostly very quiet during my stay (sept &27°)

  Reservation but no room

  I made a month ago a reservation in this hotel. A few days before i have to stay in this hotel i walked in just to check my reservation was know. The friendly lady at the desk told me she had a reservation on my name. Today i moved to Villa de Laredo and an unfriendly man was sitting at the reception. I told him i had a reservation. I showed my passport and filled in a form. After done that the man told me he had no reservation on my name. I showed my confirmation and payment in my phone but he said i was unknown in the system. He gave me back my passport and that was it. I told him the story i was a few days here before . He said no reservation and he didnt take any effort to find my reservation.So i paid for a room in this hotel and didnt get one.

  My room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Cleaned through every day and towels changed. I cannot fault breakfast, every morning something different to try. Continental style, hot food ( sausages eggs, beans, mushrooms) there was a boiler if you wanted to do boiled eggs too. The breakfast lady was very friendly and kept everything clean and topped up. Beachfront location, I would definitely stay here again.

  Wow where do I start.Pros: 1. Perfect location which is beach front, close to restaurants and shops, 15 min walk from the train and bus station.Cons: 1. On arrival I told the guy at reception I had a booking, he asked me for my confirmation which I could find to hand, all he had to do was look on the computer. He eventually gave me a key card and said my room was 109 and showed me to the lift.2. As I got out of the lift, the hallway was in darkness and I was never told that there was a light switch on the wall as you exit the lift so I walked down in the dark to my room which was stuck in the corner, as I open the door my heart sank as this was my first visit to this hotel but my 3rd visit to Fuengirola. 3. The room was less than basic, as I walked in I was greeted by a large dirty black box on the ground next to the first of 2 single beds,I opened the black box to find it was a fridge, the last time I saw a fridge in that condition it was on a skip ready to be dumped, it was even worse inside with brown water sat in the back and filthy doors, so there was no way I was putting anything in there. There was also some type of weird foil wrapped around the back of the fridge covering goodness knows what.I pulled back the bedding which is the first thing I do whenever I stay in a hotel and the sheets were clean.4. The door to the balcony didn’t close which was a safety concern for me given that I was on the first floor and wasn’t given any other option. Balcony chairs and table where tired and dirty too.5. I checked the bathroom next and this clearly hasn’t been updated since 1980, the taps on the sink and shower were rusty and the shower curtain should have been replaced with a screen for hygiene, so I dumped my stuff and headed down to the supermarket to but some cleaning products because it wasn’t my type of clean.6. In the evening I took a shower with my sliders on because my feet were NOT touching that bath, when I got in the bed, the bed was clearly broken as I was sliding to one side and the other bed I could feel all the springs as it had no comfort whatsoever.7. I was complaining to my sister when I rang here and she said to ask them the next day if you can change rooms, the next day came and decided to go about my day and ask when I came back in around 5pm if I could change rooms and the guy that checked me in asked me what was wrong with my room, I told him, the bed is broken, the fridge is dirty and the doors on the balcony don’t close properly, then and frumpy old women sat at the computer barked at me “you should have asked this morning became we don’t have any rooms left”I looked them both dead in the eyes and repeated, the fridge I’d dirty and can’t be use and the bed is uncomfortable, they could see I wasn’t going to let this go, she turned around back to the computer then he handed me a new key card for room 409 and ask me to check it to see if I was happy with it, I checked it and although not great it was definitely better and cleaner with a spotless working fridge.8. I went back to room 109 to collect my stuff and as I was leaving I was taking some photos of the room and noticed a plus with writing on it, at first I didn’t have my glasses on so I didn’t know what it said, but when I put my glasses on it said “Pest Detective” which made me feel itchy at the thought of it, what was made worse was I felt like I got bit on my face which has not happened before so I’m assuming it was from what was in that room even though I did bring my own pillowcase. Ran out of there quickly.9. In room 409 I did still clean the room myself and yes the taps were just as rusty, but the bed was more comfortable to sleep on and there was no sign of a pest detective plug anywhere in the room and I was higher up so also didn’t get people walking by noise. 10. The Wi-Fi was not great, I could browse but could watch any films on prime only the ones l downloaded.Even though I paid for bed and breakfast I didn’t eat there because if the rooms were that that bad then I was not going to risk the food, so I went out everyday for breakfast and dinner, I also never used the roof top pool after I read the reviews. Every-time I’ve booked a holiday this hotel is the first to pop up and now I know why because they’re always available. If you are not bothered about the conditions of the hotel or you are homeless and need a place to stay then I would hands down recommend this It was until I was in the hotel I looked at the reviews and they are shocking, the few that rated it highly clearly have no standards for themselves because I don’t understand how they could have given it a high score.I have a colleague who is going to Fuengirola this week and when we’re chatting in the locker room he asked me where I was staying and when I told him he stayed silent like he was to scared to tell me the truth because l was going the next day, but now I know what that look was about.I did say when I booked it that I knew I would never go back and stay in that hotel as it looked like someone bedroom and that was based off the photo, but the reality was worse. I really don’t understand how this place is a 3 star rating when Fuengirola Beach Aparthotels is 3 star and is amazing.I won’t recommend and I won’t be staying there again.Hotel de Laredo you need to do better or maybe you don’t care.
