Location

This charming beachfront hotel is located in the town of Calahonda, on the Costa Tropical. A surrounding environment of clear waters, sandy coves sheltered by towering cliffs, and a natural mooring area for boats make the hotel the ideal place for a holiday. Guests can also visit the nearby towns of Motril (15 km), Salobreña or Almuñecar as well as some historical sites, such as the castle in Carchuna, the Farill of Arab or Zambullon Watchtower. Guests will find restaurants, bars and links to the public transport network all in the immediate vicinity, in the centre of Calahonda. Granada and Malaga are both around an hour's drive from the hotel and nearby airports include Granada and Almeria airports (both 90 km away), and Malaga-Pablo Ruiz Picasso Airport (approximately 99 km away).

Facility

The hotel has 35 double rooms, which are located on 4 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. A baggage storage service, a safe, a laundry service and a fax machine are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. With water skiing, jet skiing, motorboat rides, paddle boating, canoeing, sailing, catamaraning, snorkelling and diving available, fans of water sports will have plenty to choose from.

    Have literally just returned (yesterday) from this beautiful, tranquil hotel.Beautiful location, lovely spacious rooms either sea view or mountain view. Food fresh and very reasonably priced, Rooms exceptionally clean and staff so very helpful.     We returned to this charming hotel after it had just reopened after been closed all winter.And all was just has good has we remembered absolutely nothing to fault great room lovely big bed and a amazing Veiw!Also excellent food and staff,this is a two star hotel with five star service!     Great choice for overnight stay

    We were landing at Almería Airport and making our way down to Estepona so thought we’d have an overnight stay somewhere between, booked the hotel Embaracedo de Calhonda. The hotel was virtually on the beach with a lovely terrace that was used as the restaurant, the town was quiet but it was late May and the season hadn’t started so places were closed, all the Chiringitos were closed which was a shame as there were 6 down the full length of the beach. For menu del día €12 we chose Resturante El Conjuro, and for the evening dinner we went to the Restaurante El Ancla we didn’t order a starter but they insisted on bringing us a bowl of marisco and pescado (shell fish and fish) and with our main course dessert and drinks this only came to €27. The rooms were of a good standard Great hotel lovely staff and a wonderful severed breakfast, for an overnight or couple of nights stay well recommended.     Modern hotel located on the sea front. Excellent restaurant. Comfortable rooms. Delightful friendly staff. Calahonda is small and I am not sure what there is to do there apart from spend time on the beach. Everything was quite shut up in April when we were there so I expect the focus in high season is on holiday lets. There are no other hotels and only a couple of other restaurants.
