    Welcome to the worst hotel experience.Let’s start with the staff. Only a few employees could understand or speak English. Most of them spoke only their own language or French.The drinks were not great, and the food quality was extremely disappointing — I would rate it 2 out of 10.The snack bar looked very poor, offering only olives, popcorn, and pancakes.It was obvious that the hotel was understaffed, as guests had to wait in line for up to 30 minutes just to get drinks.The pool bar was open for only three hours a day.There was absolutely no music around the swimming pool, except during water activities.The entertainment quality was very poor. Communication was also a major issue because we did not speak French, and we felt ignored by the entertainment team. Another English couple also complained about being completely ignored by them. The most memorable employee was the one with the distinctive mustache and tied-back hair. He was also the tallest red-haired person on the teamThe only positive aspect was the location. There are some great bars outside the hotel with very good music, drinks, and food.We definitely do not recommend choosing this hotel — 100%.

    Great location, entertainment all in french and lacking fun. Rooms dated however very clean and amazing view.     WritingOur stay at the Ibersol Almuñécar Beach & Spa Hotel was a mixed experience, with some clear strengths but also several disappointing aspects that would make us hesitate to return.The best part of the hotel is undoubtedly its location. It is ideally situated close to the beach, promenade, and local restaurants, making it an excellent base for exploring Almuñécar. The rooms were also a positive surprise — spacious, clean, and comfortable, with housekeeping maintained to a good standard throughout our stay. The pool area is another strong point, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the sun.Unfortunately, the dining experience was very poor. The food quality was disappointing, repetitive, and lacked variety or freshness. The dining room itself felt badly organised and chaotic at busy times, which took away from what should have been a relaxing holiday atmosphere. One particularly unprofessional aspect was seeing members of the entertainment staff eating alongside diners during service periods, which felt inappropriate for a hotel presenting itself as a resort experience.The entertainment overall was average at best and not something couples looking for a more refined or memorable holiday would enjoy. In our view, this hotel is suitable mainly for people seeking a straightforward sun break rather than a special getaway.A major recommendation would be to avoid the all-inclusive package, which represented dreadful value for money given the food and service quality. Bed and breakfast is definitely the better option, allowing guests to enjoy the many excellent cafés and restaurants available locally in Almuñécar.Overall, while the hotel has strong points in terms of location, room comfort, and pool facilities, it falls short on food, dining management, and atmosphere.Beware of booking this hotel with any great expectations for anything special. The catering is simply dreadfully managed.Another issue is that evening meals are server from 19.30 hrs, which for many is to late.
