  Impressive spacious hotel with high quality rooms but sport facilities poorly maintained; lost opportunity!

  - The room was pleasant, modern, spacious, and clean, with a good shower cabin, although the mattress was too firm.- The staff were friendly; the front desk staff quality has improved since our last stay.- The tennis courts need renovation at short term; the top layers are very worn. New nets were recently installed, but some are already damaged from use as a football pitch! There is no supervision or control of proper use (children can kick footballs around). It's a shame: six courts is an excellent number and could be promotod as tennis hotel, but that is not possible or loses a lot of attractivity if not maintained well. Lost opportunity!- The Petanque court also really needs maintenance. Should be equalized at the beginning of the season. Also 1 court is very little for a hotel of this size. There is more than sufficient space to create 1 or 2 extra. Would be great improvement!- There were beach side reconstruction works going on with heavy machinery. We had a luxury room front seaside so suffered a lot of loud noise. Over recent months, our coastline has been heavily affected by strong storms and adverse weather conditions, with the sea reaching areas close to the sports facilities and causing significant damage in several zones of the resort, including parts of the tennis courts and beachfront surroundings. For this reason, improvement and restoration works are currently ongoing both within the hotel facilities and along the beach area itself, where the local coastal authorities (“Costas”) are also carrying out reconstruction and protection works after the severe damage caused by the storms.Although maintenance is continuously performed, the exceptional weather conditions have unfortunately accelerated the deterioration of some outdoor areas. Nevertheless, we are actively investing efforts into restoring and improving these facilities as quickly as possible so that guests can continue enjoying them under the best possible conditions.Concerning the noise from the beachfront works, we fully understand that this may have affected the tranquillity expected from your seafront room.   Beautiful hotel in a traditional location

  We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Playa Granada. The hotel is immaculate, well maintained and well staffed. Large rooms and cleaned daily. It was not too busy which was ideal. We booked all inclusive, there is not much around within walking distance so would recommend this. We could not fault the effort regarding food, however compared to other all inclusives I have been to it could be hit and miss. Some days fantastic and others finding food which I generally wouldn’t eat. That being said it would not put us off returning and we did not go hungry at all. This is probably personal preference. I am not vegetarian but there did not seem many vegetarian options. My only real negative was the pool temperature which was very cold. The pool was often empty which was a shame. On the hottest days it was not so much of an issue as the cold water was welcome. I am sure going into the hotter months it will be better. We enjoyed trips to Nerja and Frigiliana which I would also recommend. The town of Motril is very traditional and some places had no English speakers. My little Spanish got us by but Google translate may be needed in a few shops/cafes. Compliments to the reception staff, chefs and bar staff who work so hard and nothing is too much trouble. We would definitely return and recommend if you are looking for a traditional, slower paced holiday.   Great holiday

  Our plane was delayed and we arrived after midnight, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. They had food and refreshments ready for our arrival and showed us to our room. The room was clean and the beds and pillows very comfortable. The rooms were cleaned daily. It was a very peaceful resort with activities available if you wish to participate in. The food was absolutely incredible with plenty to choose from. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which is very cheap to go into neighbouring towns. I didn’t play golf but the course looked lovely and went on along the coastline. We enjoyed a massage in the spa, which was amazing.Overall we were very pleased with our stay the staff were all friendly and helpful, the resort was quiet and clean. It’s right on the beach with the most beautiful views of snow capped mountains one side and Mediterranean the other. Activities available for the whole family. I would definitely recommend and go back again. The price was very reasonable.   Spent a week at this lovely hotel . The rooms were very good clean and lots of space .Food was very good too high standard lots to choose from , at times could be cold glad a microwave was provided . Gym lots of equipment , sadly some not properly working / maintained . Entertainment was for us too late , started at 10pm and often with children running around . Only 2 tennis courts are available some have fallen into disrepair and no effort seems to be undertaken to repair them , also access to the beech area was closed off from the hotel again in need of repair . There is a bus stop outside the hotel if you wish to avail off sadly buses are not generally on time so be warned .Overall I would recommend this hotel and we enjoyed our week spent here .   Perfect experience for our family!

  Our second time here, we brought the parents this time for Christmas. The resort is beautiful, very clean, big rooms, comfortable beds, great views of the beach and palm trees on one side and of the Sierra Nevada mountains on the other. The food is great and plenty, the staff professional, helpful and very friendly. We loved everything about our stay, thank you!
