Nice hotel nearby to beach. Rooms clean and spacious. Half board very good service and excellent healthy food. We liked it a lot. Especially thanks to Milena and co. They offer a great place for couples with older children. Or a romantic experience for couples

AN UNCOMFORTABLE HOTEL FOR SAME-SEX COUPLES!
22 Sept 2019
We spent about a week at this hotel. From the first day we saw the breakfast waitresses treating us differently to other guests. My basic Spanish skills allowed me to understand that they made funny comments about us, making fun also from our gestures and the way we dressedWe are sure that none of this would have happened had we been a straight couple. We have not won anything with UE gender-protection laws if, they are not respected de facto in public places like this one.

A HOTEL NOT TO RETURN!
10 Sept 2019
I'm an Alitalia stewardess. By my job, I have flown all over the world and stayed in multiple hotels on four continents, but this has been the worst, by far some lousy experience in Asia or Africa. For starters, the reception man on the night of our arrival spoke a horrible Italian and hardly any English. The rooms were lacking clean as we found traces of toilet paper behind a bathroom bin.The breakfast buffet was very bad and the waitresses seemed not to want to serve the customers, but just replenish the items that were being consumed. It has no pool or possibility of showering after going to the beach, on the day of departure. And worst of all, the total lack of sympathy of the staff, who felt that the customers had left over and annoyed. I even saw the manager beat up a client and his partner from the hotel, insulting them and throwing them out to the road. They must have been Spanish and I heard she speaking to him in Catalan.I insist, I have never witnessed such a scene, even in horrible hotels in Asia or Africa, that could be compared to this bad one we have suffered in Formentera.Clearly, I will never return to this hotel.

Very nice staff and overall nice place to stay!
01 Feb 2019
Initially disappointed not being in the new refurbished rooms, we had a lovely time at the Rosamar mostly because of its ideal location that allowed us to walk to the beach everyday, the quiet and cosiness to the place, the friendly staff and the good food. For us we loved the fact that this establishment had a family own business feeling and each of them being really nice and helpful from the owner, the daughter, waiters and the chef. We really enjoyed talking with the chef a couple of times who took the time having a chat with us after his service or during quiet times. this makes a huge difference and enjoyed the contact and relationship with the people leaving on the island rather than just being in contact with tourists. A bit more on the food, the breakfast was very nice and a big plus with buffet and orders from the kitchen included in the price and they also do a cheap lunch menu with excellent food as well from meat to fish etc. I would recommend this place and happily would return if to come back to Formentera.

Disappointing & some unfriendly staff
20 Jun 2017
We love formentera and this is our second time on the island, and have had good experiences in other local hotels and particularly love Hostal Mayans for the friendly and relaxed staff and vibe.Unfortunately Hotel Rosamar has been a big let down, with a room that is in poor condition (as shown in photos - we paid £138 per night for this experience.) However most upsetting was the attitude and unfriendliness of some staff members throughout our stay. The room is straight out of the 1970s with a strange smell to match. This is not the fault of the cleaners who are very thorough - it is spotlessly clean it is just a very tired and old building. Parts of the hotel have been refurbished to a good standard and are nicely done so the public areas look nice and in future the whole hotel may well improve. In terms of location, it's fine, not the best but ok as a base - located near sa roqueta a rocky bit of coast line outside of es Pujols. As said the attitude and behaviour of two staff members was the most upsetting and disappointing aspect of our time at the hotel. We won't let this put us off our beloved Formentera, as it in no way reflects our general experiences on the beautiful island.
