Busy but beautiful hotel, no chairs by the day.

The Riu hotel is big but not overwhelming. The location is beautiful. The rooms are very tidy and very well kept by the staff. Every employee is charming. Not one exception. The vie from the room is outstanding. One advise : insist on a room in the front building closest to the sea or you will go up and down many steps all the time !Restaurant Mediterraneo sits right by the sea and you will enjoy a wonderful sunset from there and restaurant Es Cupinar net door or Hannah on the other side and wonderful places for lunch. One big downside : no beds on the beach which means you have to get before 8:am and book your beds next to the swimming pool if you ant to sit by the sea. o No help with luggage offeredo To move between the two buildings there is no elevator. One must climb many steep stairs. Certainly not for the mobility impaired or elderly and should be clearly indicated on websiteo Two of the three pools tiny; larger pool full of screaming kidso Pool sun beds reserved with towels and personal items by 7am despite rules not to do so or items removed after two hours. If you get to the pool by 10am there are no sun beds or place to sit available. Complaint to pool staff goes ignored o Staff reported that hotel not issued beach license hence no sunbeds or umbrellas on beacho Beach towel service good; however, handed ripped and unacceptable towelo Handed satisfaction questionnaire when eating dinner; intrusive and manipulative o Buffet acceptable. Overall, quite a disappointing experience… for an impressive price they charge (8,000 + euros for three rooms for 5 nights), the value for money is quite low. There are no water bottles in the room and no nearby places to buy them, only a hotel bar at inflated prices. People come to the pool at 08:00 am, before it opens, throw their towels to occupy the sun beds and leave. At 09:00 am, at the opening there are barely any free beds. At the beach, there are no sun umbrellas available for thr hotel guests. The dinner is decent with a very nice variety of food, but the breakfast could have had more healthy options. Very nice hotel in Formentera. Great location and lovely views from hotel bars and rooms. The sea was beautiful and very clear. Lovely beach. Pool area nice and pool very warm. Area is lovely. Breakfast very good. Ate in buffet at dinner for 3 nights and quality of food very high. Ate at both a la carte restaurants which were excellent. Hotel is on hill and not suitable for guests with walking difficulties. Loungers at pool but hotel does not have loungers on beach but can be rented. We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Riu Palace La Mola. The location is definitely one of its biggest strengths, with beautiful sea views and easy access to the beach. The hotel is modern, clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained, and there was a good variety of food at the buffet, although some meals were better than others. The facilities were enjoyable, especially the pool area, but at busy times it could feel a little crowded.Overall, it's a good hotel in a fantastic location and offers good value for a relaxing holiday. While there are a few areas that could be improved to make the experience truly exceptional, we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning.
