    Disgusting

    rating26 Feb 2026

Definitely one of the most disgusting places I have ever seen in my life.Long story short: an old building, outdated furniture — but the worst part was the duplex apartment we had booked. The photos are misleading, so be careful!!!At 3 p.m. we stepped into what felt like a two-floor shoebox with a balcony overlooking a viaduct — yes, a heavily trafficked, extremely noisy viaduct. One of the windows was broken and unusable. The kitchen was a joke: there wasn’t even the bare minimum to make a salad — no knives, no scissors, no peeler, nothing. The drawers literally fall apart as soon as you open them. There was also a constant noise inside the apartment. While we were waiting in the lobby for the strictly enforced 3 p.m. check-in, hotel guests kept arriving at reception to complain, clearly exhausted. The sentence we heard most often was: “Every day there’s something wrong.”Stay away from this nightmare. I immediately requested a refund and we left right away. A place truly beyond acceptable limits.

NO ENGLISH ALLOWED....(or people of colour)

    rating23 Mar 2025

NO ENGLISH!!!....this hotel only seemed to have catered to German people...NO ONE SPOKE ENGLISH, tv was all Spanish or German, (to which we later foumd out that the hotel was bought by German compnay)....couldn't change the tv settings to English even though the option was there ....receptionist was of no use, she didn't understand ANY English, and also we felt a bit unwelcome by her, maybe this also was the reason we was given such a not nice room, we had breakfast was standard same everyday, we didn't have lunch or dinner there, instead went to a lovely restaurant round the corner, our room wasn't cleaned or refreshed proper, we won't be staying at this hotel again, but the surrounding is lovely, but if you have difficulties walking i would not recommend staying here as it can be be steep walking upwards and downwards, i would add photo but was so disappointed with room as didn't look like ANY of the pictures

    Chilled, quiet location.

    rating15 Mar 2025

Rooms were fine, the bathroom often smelt from the drains which was annoying! The staff in the dining area were so kind and lovely, particularly Jamma I think his name was, he upgraded my review score from average to good! Pool is freeeeeezing! Good location for a chilled, quiet holiday and close to the beach. Not much around but bus service etc pretty good. We don't mind a walk, so walked to beach bars. We visited Marro Jable 2x and Gran Tarajal easy enough by bus (and cheap enough to Marro Jable by taxi). Food at the hotel was alright, breakfast was a bit repetitive but dinner was surprisingly tasty each night, particularly the goat dishes. The bar/Mini market on site is good.. the souvenir shop however added a few euros on price tags!! And when challenged we're just grumpy, I personally chose to travel to Marro Jable to buy stuff then shop there again!!

    Pretty meh! Don’t bother going

    rating20 Feb 2025

Some good things 1. Very clean2. Spacious apartment with good sized rooms3. Beds comfyBut plenty of bad too1. The patio was terrible. Completely in shadow all day due to tall building only a few meters opposite. Also in a complete wind tunnel. 2. Terrible kitchenette. No kettle, no toaster, (use a saucepan to boil the water) no sharp knife. Due to tiny size of the two hot plates, could not fit 2 pans on at once. Microwave in a high shelf above hob so impractical and dangerous (I’m 5’3” and couldn’t reach it safely) 3. Very isolated location so you’ll need a car 4. Limited English spoken. Seems to be primarily a German destination. 5. Only 1 pool which was ok but in shadow by mid afternoon and not open until 10.30 in the morning so couldn’t have early morning swim. Also unheated so pretty cold (didn’t worry me as I quite like a cold swim, but be warned). 6. Very confused layout. although we were only a few meters from the pool, we had to go our the hotel, down the road and back in again to get to it because the path had been blocked off with glass portion barrier. Why? Why?Wouldn’t bother going back. If you’re in the 100 or 200 numbered rooms you’ll never see the sun!

    It’s okay.

    rating01 Jan 2025

Let’s start with some positive things:1. Lovely, peaceful location with superb beach near by.2. Room very clean, peaceful and a good bed.3. Staff friendly.4. Lovely bar downstairs with great pizzas. 5. Value for money. For improvement:1. Restaurant feels more akin to work canteen, hard lighting and quality of food not to standard, hot food often cold and also limited choice.2. English not widely spoken but this not a major problem.3. Swimming pool very cold!4. Rooms are not serviced every day, did not provide soap or replace loo roll (I bought my own from local store).Summary:Has lots of good things going for it, but I’d be inclined to spend a little more next time and get a step up for it.
