  Excellent place, great views, good food, lovely rooms with great natural light. The whole experience was great from start to finish. Loved our own room/apartment with the private balcony area that you could sunbathe in privacy.   Love,love Barcelo castillo. Everything about it is so wonderful. We stayed 8 nights with our family.The staff are topclass !! Special thanks to Giusy Spada. You made our holiday extra special. So kind and a brilliant Guest experience manager.Thanks again. We had a superior Seaview Room. Spotless clean. Air-conditioned,large balcony. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Big shout out to Marion.You are the best!! Also Sandra,Hector.and Ellie. Thanks for all your kindness. The food is excellent. Breakfast is my favourite. Lots of choices. The only thing I found was I only eat chicken breast They didn't serve itSo that was a disappointment. I had lots of other food to chose from but ya like what ya like!! You have lots of choices of pools. All wonderful and salt water.The pool at the Mar is heated. Entertainment is good too.lots of different acts.Everything is central.Taxis are super cheap.   Great location but accommodation a bit of a disappointment

  The hotel grounds are well kept. The staff are friendly and helpful. We booked a superior beach bungalow. The location of the bungalow was great. The patio furnishing left a lot to be desired. Cheap black plastic table and chairs which was stained and had to wipe bird poo off it. Interior of superior bungalow very basic. The sofa bed was ripped on the corner and curtains coming away from the rail. Kitchen utensils, if your self catering are inadequate. No bread knife or sharp knives, a ladle and large spoon. No washing up liquid, sponge scoured or tea towel so these had to be purchased.On arrival we found the kitchen cupboard door had come away from its hinges and the fridge/freezer which had been mentioned when booking, did not have a freezer compartment (we wanted to make ice cubes). This was quickly rectified, which we were grateful for.The buffet food was ok but it was just about warm which was disappointing and choices quite repetitive. One night we tried the meatballs and cold meatballs had been placed in the warm sauce. Needless to say we returned this to the staff. Throughout our stay we were not able to book Tindaya restaurant unless we wanted to eat after 9pm. We tried on day 1 but nothing in Tindaya for the whole duration of our holiday. Therefore we only ate at Mafasca. All bookings are done using an appThis could be so much better as the location is great.
