  Disappointing

  Rooms were tired and dirty around edges. Sheets not changed all week. Floor was being mopped using black dirty water. Bathroom shower left dirty all week. Sunbeds are dirty and ground area dirty. No pool bar service. No free towels for pool area. Food not good. No decent meat or fish available in the buffet all week. Don't expect chicken or salmon. Tuna salad all week. No quality vegetarian option. The same pastries and puddings all week. Brazilian restaurant ok. Italian ok. Mexican - I had stuffed peppers, cold and covered in coconut milk, horrible. We would never return. The food and rooms were not good.

  Too noisy at night

  Barcelo seems to have gone downhill

  We have been using Barcelo for over 15 years and have achieved unique level status. for the first time we were met with complete apathy and a total disregard for any level of customer service whatsoever which is a stark difference to what we have previously enjoyed. We spent a lot of money booking three rooms and had none of our reasonable requests granted.   The location was perfect, ???? overseeing the pool, it was lovely. The was was very nice, people and staff friendly, very good atmosphere The rooms were very nice, catered for what we needed, very clean, charity welcoming and hard working, nothing was too much trouble.Our stay was reasonably priced, hotel was very clean, some me refurnishing needed for broken tiles.No problem with noise level, good night sleep throughout visit.Service was excellent, staff are welcoming and very helpful, they work very hard.Amenities are very good, lots of choice for things to do, we took advantage of the gym, spa and the treatments available. We have had a wonderful experience, the food was lovely, we thank the staff especially Carlos, and Sandra who looked after us, the porter was friendly and very efficient, not to forget the reception staff who were all helpful and hard working, thank you all, we hope to visit again next year!   We have been here many times before, The Hotel, beach and area suit us well.Staff and people here are always friendly and engaging. The hotel rooms are looking a bit tired but are well serviced by the housekeeping and maintenance teams.One annoyance was the lifts. We were on the top floor, so a lot of stairs.Overall we love it here. It was a great two week holiday and look forward to returning.
