The hotel was modernised in 2022. A pleasant ambience awaits guests in 129 non-smoking rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions.     This place is disgusting. There were Cockroaches in the rooms. The air conditioner was filthy and did not work. Plus, the comforters were worn out and looked like they were from the 70's. We told management about our complaints and did little to resolve the issues. We had to hard press them for our money back.

    I came to this hotel for an extended weekend with the University that I was studying abroad with. It was a package deal so I didn't expect much. The views inside the hotel were absolutely amazing. The vine plants strung from 7 floors above clear to the first floor. The main lobby area had a huge dining section with palm trees and glass roof. Out back they have an amazing swim up bar and pool area. The front desk was helpful with directing us to areas of interest and the hotels location was across the street from the beach and clubs, excellent location! It was easy to hail a cab and usually the concierge would assist. This is more of an art deco hotel, nothing like a fluffy chain hotel, really makes you appreciate the Mexican Culture. YOU MUST EAT AT THE HOTEL RESTAURANT, its absolutely phenomenal!
