  Basic but manageable, work needs doing!

  We arrived around midnight, offered a bag with food, but no drink and bar shut, not even told where we could get some water from which we found by shop but not that night, wouldve been nice if informed upon arrival, there were several of us arrived and only one person dealing with booking in, so this took a while to do. Hotel is about half an hour's walk into centre depending on heat and how fast you walk, we had two calimas while there over 30 degrees on these days upto 37 degrees, not enough umbrellas round pool, also needs work doing on it, pool tiles lose nothing done with them in the two weeks we were there even though reported. Bits of plaster coming off in alot of places round the complex. Rooms cleaned every two days bedding changed every 4 days, did have sometimes where new towels were just put in room, bits were still on floor for days and beds not made (I know you can make them yourselves which i sort of did but not able to move beds myself to do properly). Had a fridge in room with a kettle on top no where to plug this kettle in as lead really short and would've had to hold kettle while it boiled which would be dangerous, so never used. Also no settee in room as it was a bed with a pull out bed in living area, plus is there were English channels on tv. Staff seem to be helping all over place, queues at night at bar could 10 - 20 minutes as 1 person working and very busy. Animation team work hard too. Staff helpful and chatty. But hotel itself needs money spending on it to bring it back up to standard. Food was ok bbq Friday good, could always find something to eat, but alot of same stuff, loved the pulled pork (pigs feet is what they called it) but wasn't! Could do with another toaster at breakfast as queued to use it. Otherwise we enjoyed our holiday, but wouldn't go back to this hotel im afraid due to these points. If bluesea spend money on it would be a lovely hotel. This was supposed to be a late 60th birthday/relaxing holiday after 8 months of stressful time at home dealing with family things, met quite a few nice people there, but all said same thing wouldn't come back. Shame there isn't a bus service into town, reception would get a taxi for you which is between 5 - 6 euros each way. Cleanliness and comfort are priorities for us, so we are disappointed that the servicing schedule and the kettle placement fell short during your visit. Equally, we understand that waiting at the bar and the breakfast toaster queue impacted your experience, and your comments help us reflect on where the flow of service can be tightened.Nonetheless, it is rewarding to hear that you found the food enjoyable, especially the pulled pork and the Friday barbecue, and that the English TV channels added a homely touch.   What a lovely place to have a week stay. We had a nice ground floor room looking out on the swimming pool. Very clean. Food very good and plenty of selection. Entertainment every night and activitys to do in the day. Plenty of sunbeds and a nice pool bar . Staff excellent all very interactive. polite and friendly nothing too much trouble for them.
