NOT SAFE , BROKEN INTO AT 2AM

    rating25 May 2026

BROKEN IN TO .....I will start with the positives. The apartment was better than i expected as i hadn't paid very much at all . The furniture was dated but very clean , there was a new bathroom and the windows and doors had been replaced with new aluminium ones. The beds were very comfy too.I dont cook when i'm away but the kitchen seemed to have everything there in case you wanted to . The pool area was good and again very clean.Overall i was very happy with the value for money that the complex offeredThe negatives. We were broken into on our last night .We don't drink and went to bed at 9pm, at 2am i was awoken by my husband ,who is a very light sleeper, shouting at the top of his voice. A man had opened our front door (the new front door with a massive lock )and was having a little look through the curtains. Luckily the man heard my husband and fled. As you can imagine we were terrified, hubby is recovering from a triple heart bypass so couldn't follow the man. The phone in the room doesn't work so i tried phoning reception off my mobile but there was no answer so we had to leave the apartment , get in the car and go up to reception . They really couldn't be bothered , 40 mins later the security guard came down but spoke no English and it took the police another 40mins to arrive, didn't even speak to us . I was offered another room but as i said if this guy had a key to that room he maybe had one for the new room too....We went back to the apartment and pulled the sofa bed up against the door, needless to say we didn't sleep...Next morning we found out that over 20 people had been robbed , the guy had gone into their room while they were asleep and emptied cash out of wallets , taken phone ipads etc......i really can't think of anything worse It seemed nearly everyone who had been robbed was going home the next day I spoke to the manager the next day and all she told me is i was drunk (we don't drink )and i had left the door open , she really didn't care at all , just couldn't be bothered about what we had all gone through And the most worrying part as i found out later on facebook was that they had break ins the night before and yet there was no security on site and the complex gates were wide open so anyone could just walk inVery scary thing to happen but was just not handles right by the staff at all

Judge complex by your own standards. I wanted cheap and clean and thankfully that’s what I got.

There’s a lot of people I know who I wouldn’t recommend this complex to. However I would come again at the right price. My bungalow was clean and functional and fine for the 4 nights I stayed. (No25 Lake). Bathroom and windows and patio doors appear to have been recently replaced but the other aspects of the bungalow were old and dated. (I’m glad I had no reason to use the sofa bed). One thing of note as that condensation on bedroom window was next level every morning. It led to a damp feeling and musty smell all my stay.Service at the bar was fast and pleasant. Food for the all inclusive was as bad as mentioned but I made it work. Breakfast definitely best choice and quality.

We Read a lot of different reviews before we went here and to say I had the fear was an under statement but got there an was pleasantly surprised the bungalow was very clean and tidy with microwave and oven and grill 2 pot hob kettle and toaster plates cups glasses knife’s forks spoons the bathroom had a very hot powerful shower and a built in hairdryer the bed room had twin beds a double wardrobe with an iron and mini ironing board inside to use the living room / kitchen area had a table and four chairs a couch with coffee table a side board with smart tv on top of it only complaint smart tv too far from the WiFi to work properly as in no Netflix or firestick but not major issue just pointing it out out we had a small private patio with table and two chairs we were 6 bungalows from the pool on our right so not too bad we went all inc with the intention we would look at the food if it was not great we would take advantage of the all inc drinks and eat out elsewhere but most days we went for breakfast which was ok to be fair we also went for snacks out of curiosity it was chips burgers and baps or these fish croquette things but the night time main meals we hardly touched we had few very large free drinks and it wasn’t your usual watered down crap it was local but not bad local we got drunk first two nights then went out for more drinks and something to eat half ways down the hill at Mollys bar you’ve got British bites the Chinese the Indians chaplins and few other pubs 2 mini markets then just up from there you’ve got nestors and above a great pub for chilled out vine live singer or piano tunes the Zanzibar the bars that play bingo are very popular and very busy so get down early for it or you won’t get a seat and the jackpots are superb for holiday bonus cash and a great afternoon or nite out for all the family we went down to the beach on Xmas day with most of caleta I think there at some point but it wasn’t a day for lying at the beach it was hot but cloudy next four days we had sun and we’re at the pool each day my biggest gripe is no one heats pools as it’s hot islands in summer but we had 3 lovely pools one beside us one down we’re main bar /restaurant is and one straight opposite as you come out the restaurant door to use and couldn’t go in any of them due to the temp of the water a few kids dared it but each one wasn’t in for any time before climbing out again would we go back yes we would we had a great time we had a laugh did we get hung up on small things that ruin hols no we don’t we crack on and make the best of it I’d give it 8.5 out of ten for cold pools food hit and miss and smart tv but no WiFi or out of range it wouldn’t take a lot of money to make this a great place

    Christmas week 2025 (23rd -30th). Rating 3.5 stars

    rating31 Dec 2025

This is a cut n paste from 2 posts i wrote on a TA forum for the area after requesting information as first time visitors (famiky of 4).Post no 1.Hi, just an update on Boxing day. We arrived 23rd...rapid airport and taxi to resort experience. Check in was really smooth. Bungalow smelt very clean and fresh. Bathroom very clean and modern. Beds okish- but very clean. Windows and doors seen better days...but noticed many Bungalows are having refurbishment around us (not noisy). Feels like ours has had a partial refurbishment so far.Pools are all spotless but freezing. Area is great fun...beaches are beautiful.Food and drink- def lower end of the market...however actually not too bad at all in my view. There is limited choices each day but really fresh and area tidy. Drinks are actually really good. ..no watering down.Restaurant staff are the hardest working ones I have ever seen, even at 5 * resorts. Although they do get a bit grumpy as they work many shifts all on their own.Overall...for the price we paid for Xmas week we are impressed. No concerns over safety at all (only mention as other people have said there is an issue).Post no. 2:Update- Just arrived home. As promised an update on the weather during our week 23rd to 30th December. The first few days were warm, but windy and a bit of rain. Christmas day was bright and warm, yet windy, and spent on the beach by the Atlantico centre...with a picnic. Christmas evening we walked into Bollywood Spices and got arguably the best seat in the house..despite it being very busy. However, it was only 1 afternoon where we felt cold and that was mostly due to the fact we didn't pack rain coats. I would say it was still better than most British summer days in the August school holiday!! The last 3 and a half days were really hot with barely any wind and the taxi driver (back to the airport) said the latter few days weather were more typical for this time of year. The last few days at the accommodation was quieter...guests changing over and the Christmas week being the busiest I guess. We remained pleased with the accommodation...noting we had accepted there is no maid service unless requested (and we didn't really want a maid in the room when there so so much Xmas 'stuff' all over the place ha ha). The only negative i would say,if you accept this us a cheap n cheerful place, is some of the clientele. I may sound like a snob...but it makes such a difference if you haven't got huge groups (and not just Brits i might add) being really loud all of time. That being said, it meant we didn't need to worry about ourselves being noisy or looking like we drank too much! The other guests didn't particularly bother us...but it might shock some people staying hence raising it. So my top tip is be really realistic of what to expect of somewhere which (when i did the maths) costs us (all in with flights, bags, car park, transfers and AI) £50 pppn at Christmas. We would return and indeed have started to price it up. The area has some lovely parts, and you can just avoid the strip if it is not your thing- there are loads of quieter areas in the resort. The pools of the complex are amazing with the one at the Mirador restaurant having sea views. We didn't use the others really. We would return and indeed have started to price it up.

What a terrible place this is now ! we stayed here in November 2025 for a week. This was our third visit here and how standards have dropped is unbelievable. When you complain, it’s made out that it’s your fault or you didn’t do what you were supposed do. We arrived and checked in and we were given two bungalows both were dirty. I accept this is a cheap and cheerful place to stay but we expect clean accommodation. It was in such bad repair we had to be moved to another bungalow.Three broken sockets with wires open to touch , dirty bedding, leaking toilet rotten cabinets, no kettle or toaster broken tiles at door. It took us two hours to clean the other bungalow just to make it habitable. We reported the dirty bedding at 15:15 promised house keeping asap and had to collect bedding from reception at 20:30 at night and make the bed ourselves not what we expected. We booked house keeping at reception on the Wednesday still nothing by Friday we had to collect towels from reception. Again it was made out we didn’t book even though you speak to same staff. We have stayed here before but it’s like they just don’t care about guests any more. One other couple told us they waited 3 days for a kettle but went to reception every day. This at best 1 star that’s being generous. Such a shame the management have let standards slide so badly.
