  Great budget hotel despite extremely repetitive food

  Typical 3 star hotel, very family oriented so rather quiet, great value for money, great entertainment for children & adults alike, the food wasn’t great but it is a 3 star hotel so you have to keep that in mind, clean if a bit dated, absolutely fantastic staff, great service, might be back. RoomsGood size, somewhat dated but that’s to be expected for the price. Couldn’t find anything in English on TV but that’s fine. Used an iPad instead. No AC but that’s OK in May, probably not over the summer though. Not enough closet space in the bedroom, too few hangers. No teabags or coffee so not sure why there’s a kettle in the kitchen. Nice big balcony with a table & ashtray & 2 chairs & backyard area on the ground floor with a table & ashtrays with 2 chairs & a sun lounge or two. We loved that. Typical 3 star hotel room so don’t expect fireworks.Nearby activitiesThe hotel is 10 minutes away from the airport so very convenient. It’s also a 15 minute drive to the nearest beach 🏖️ we visited 2, 1 with white sand & another with yellow sand. The ocean is amazing & much warmer than the hotel swimming pools (unheated). We also visited Fuerteventura Aquaparc up North which was absolutely stunning & so much fun! It’s a 45 minute drive from the hotel & well worth it when you have children with you. We hired the cheapest car we could find for only €75 per week so extremely happy with that.SafetyVery quiet hotel in a very quiet area so super safe. There are almost exclusively older people & families with small children staying here.WalkabilityYou’d need some kind of transportation to see anything at all, be it a car or a taxi or a complimentary hotel shuttle bus to take you to the nearest beach or shopping centre. Too far to walk, especially with childrenFood and drinksFrankly, it was a bit of a let down. We stayed in 3 star hotels in the Canaries before (Gran Canaria, not Fuerteventura), the food was much better, both quality & variety. It’s was super repetitive & on the low end of average for quality. While the hotel buffet food is nothing to write home about, it was still edible & plentifulNoteworthy detailsThe staff go above & beyond. We wanted to move from 1st floor to ground floor if possible. They made it happen at no extra expense for us at all!!!! Also, my husband asked Reception if we could stay in the hotel room for an extra 6 hours after check out time (we had a late flight). This was immediately arranged for only €35 extra!! Thank you, everyone at the hotel & restaurant, you are all stars!! A special shout out to Barbie & Iker (kids club & entertainment) who made our 5 year old son & us very very happy indeed!

  Very disheartening 2⭐️

  I’d probably put this at a 2⭐️- I’ve stayed in a few hotels in Fuerteventura but this is by far the worst, yes it’s a budget hotel but at the very least the cleanliness should be a priority.We had previous guests dirty laundry in the room, the dust was unbelievable, we had to wear shoes in the room because the floor was disgusting. Our sink and bath hadn’t been cleaned all week and the rooms were absolutely covered in ants.- The pool was empty because of how cold the water was in the pool so I wouldn’t bother.- If you need a pushchair or wheelchair your absolutely knackered because there’s stairs EVERYWHERE and the lift is constantly out of order.- There is supposed to be a buffet and a restaurant but the restaurant looks like it’s been infested with pigeons so that’s closed off, so the buffet has very minimal selections to choose from, same stuff every lunch and dinner with flies landing on the food.- Entertainment wise it’s not great but there’s not many people there to participate in the activities, staff are lovely and polite.   A good hotel , comfy beds but a little dated , amazing staff they really do work hard ! The entertainer was amazing and actually a great guy! He works hard and Aways up for a laugh. The pool is nice but very cold ! But the bar is great lovely staff and great drinks, it is a very clean hotel and staff are seen all hours cleaning , the food is great little limited but good service and good quality , the hotel is in a residential zone but taxis are cheap and we hired a car well worth it saw some amazing views! It is good value for money and very close to the airport, it’s not been too busy which is lovely !
