Location

This hotel is located on the premises of the Fuerteventura Golf Club, between a golf course and a beach promenade. The hotel is situated on the approach to the resort of Caleta de Fuste, approximately 600 m from the centre, countless shops, bars and restaurants. This hotel is located just a few steps from the shopping and entertainment area. The airport is 8 km from the hotel. Links to the public transport network are to be found approximately 800 metres from the hotel.

Facility

The resort has 18 suites and 248 double rooms, which are located on 6 storeys and are reachable by 2 lifts. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand and a TV room. Parking spaces are available to guests travelling by car. Other services include a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, room service, a laundry service, a hairdresser and a coin-operated laundry. A bicycle hire service provides all the necessary equipment for exploring the surrounding area. Complimentary newspapers are available. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning ensures that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed or a queen-size bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The resort has family rooms and 266 non-smoking rooms.

Sport

While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. Refreshing drinks at the pool bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub (for a fee) offer the perfect way to unwind. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. A variety of activities are available at the resort, for example bocce, beach volleyball, basketball and archery or, for a fee, tennis, crazy golf and golf. A number of sports are available, including water sports such as catamaraning and kayaking. For a fee, guests can also enjoy water skiing, windsurfing, jet skiing, snorkelling and diving. A wide range of indoor sporting activities are also offered, for example table tennis, darts, yoga and aerobics or, for a fee, a gym and billiards. There is a wellness area with a spa, a beauty salon and a solarium and, for an additional fee, a sauna and massage treatments. Additional leisure activities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club and a kids' disco.

Meals

Dining facilities include a café and a bar. Guests can enjoy the culinary delights of the non-smoking, air-conditioned restaurant, which provides high chairs for children. Catering options include half board, full board and all-inclusive. All-inclusive holidaymakers enjoy special extras like snacks, in addition to a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. For breakfast, lunch and dinner, guests serve themseves at the buffet or choose their preferred fare from the menu (for lunch). Diet meals, gluten-free meals and vegetarian dishes can be prepared on request. The complex also offers special catering options. The show cooking is a particularly special attraction.

    small hotel nothing much to do morning eggs bottom burn raw top awfulmost of the food are tasteless and Mexican A la cart is a joke dont pick.Italian rest is good nice meal.

    Had a lovely Easter break here with the kids.The staff at Elba Sara were absolutely brilliant, thank you to everyone.Lots of variety on the evening buffet (veggie options were a bit repetitive and not always matching the night's theme but I always had a good meal all the same), animation team wasn't in your face but there if you wanted to join in, nightly entertainment, and it's a nice walk to the centre (or a cheap taxi ride). We had a great morning at one of the nearby beaches, too - good for a swim in the sea thanks to the breakwater.Just watch out for the wind chill!     My partner and I have a rule that we never visit the same hotel twice....this hotel nearly makes us want to break that rule. Nearly!Lovely location, very scenic and a short coastal walk to Caleta. Nearby shopping centre was also very useful! And the coastal path was great for morning runs!Atmosphere was really nice, relaxing and the staff were fantastic. Everyone was friendly and helpful and it had a very family environment.The room we had was stunning, a junior suite was a fantastic view!The hotel was near spotlessly clean at all times, the staff in the restaurant are incredible. You are barely sat down and someone appears to offer you a drink.The hotel itself is well maintained and doesn't look shabby at all.The food was really nice, we had an Italian night and that was really good. The main buffet food was good too. The letdown here was the lunchtime food in the pool bar area, it was often left out for too long and just wasn't nice sadly.The biggest letdown of this hotel, 1 member of the animacion team. And I know that sounds petty here, but there is good reason. After 6 days of listening to his high pitched screeching around the pool every day trying to get people to do the activities, and then the same screeching during the mini disco in the evening, and then the horrendously weird drag performance in the "variety show", it really puts a downer on the place. For example on our last day, Julia was the member of the team doing pool activities, and suddenly there's more people involved and everyone is enjoying themselves.The evening shows that he did were utter rubbish, his screeching down the microphone made children cry and his section on the variety show made people leave the room. It really was that bad.The evening entertainment here is a bit odd. The downstairs bar has a tiny disco at 8pm and then some sort of show at 9pm. Having stayed at other places, we were expecting something a bit more organised and professional.The upstairs bar usually had a live singer but there was no atmosphere there.     Family of 4 (2 adults, 2yo and 4yo) - We were booking for UK spring holidays and this was one of not many reasonably priced hotels (criteria: all inclusive, close to airport, beachfront, heated pools, 4+ on Tripadvisor). You get what you pay for - so the hotel is a little bit tired (we got broken bed and ended having maintenance staff at 10pm in our room), cleaning service is inconsistent and standard double room is a little bit too small for family of 4 (but manageable). However the pros:- transfer by taxi is probably 10-15 minutes;- very good location for walks with kids;- next to the mall with large Spar (in case you need more nappies or wipes);- kids pool is nice but… you have to “book” the sunbeds with your towel by 10am - otherwise, you end up with no bed;- food is nice - everything you need for adults and kids - but there is no buffet for kids - so you have to choose food for kids;- reception and restaurants staff - they are very nice.We enjoyed our stay a lot and we will be happy to be back :) Guest Service, Guest Services / Front Office at Elba Sara Beach & Golf Resort, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you very much for your detailed and balanced feedback.
