  We stayed at Drago Park in Costa Calma Fuertaventura. Hotel was very run down. We had book lice in the beds,floors and bathrooms. I am leaving 2 stars only for the animation staff Wilson Sara and Mattheius they were fantastic. The hotel needs fumigated. They did replace the sunbeds (which were also covered in book lice) on our last day. Umbrellas were mouldy and broken. Food was ok but they didnt cater very well for children. We stayed in Room A102 and the light outside was also hanging from a wire.

  Adequate Week Stay via Tui

  Although our room was clean on arrival, it was never cleaned again, towels never replaced or bedsheets changed.The beds are thin and very uncomfortable, resulting in poor sleep & back / neck ache.We requested a second pillow, this arrived within hours We found the food to be okay, there was a good selection, so a pick for everyone, previous comments about repetitive dishes are valid and yes very uninspiring.However we had tuna steaks, pork chops, chicken skewers etc The puddings were not to our taste but always fruit melon and ice-creamI took time to photograph some of the food presented.Drinks, agreed with previous comments, all seemed sweet Pool was great, loungers dodgy, 7.30am towels out in record time and no one did anything about it, however we always found a nice spot when we rocked up to enjoy the poolside, we mostly went to the beach.The shuttle bus to the beach currently doesn't exist, they call you a taxis, you pay and get receipt, reception refunds, bit of a faff but we used it.We went to the restaurant at 7.55 am asking just for a coffee, we were greeted by a miserable middle aged woman who refused us and then shouted at us, slamming & locking the door in our face.We had an excursion pick up at 8 am and coffee to go would have been appreciated.The last 24 hours of our stay, a flight from Ireland arrived, these families basically took over the hotel, pool, arcade, restaurant The parents drank and the children ran feral, this continued right up to 3.30am.I told reception, they shrugged and said there was nothing they could do.Once you check out, they don't offer a room to shower and change.There are changing / shower cubicles by the pool but not private.Room for improvement for certain

  I booked this hotel as Tui advised it was coeliac friendly but I'm afraid to say it was not. I asked in the restaurant for the gluten free options and was given a bread roll and a pack of 2 chocolate muffins and that was the extent of their options. So I went to the spar and bought some gluten free cereal for breakfast and had to make do with salad and grilled fish or chicken for all my other meals. They didn't offer any gluten friendly drinks at the bar either, so my options for drinks was very limited. With regards the hotel itself, it definitely was not 4*. The reception on arrival was lovely and was 4* but that's where it ended. Our room was a terrace room so was infested with ants and it had a permanent smell of the sewers. The shower did not drain away properly and flooded the bathroom every time we used it. The mattresses were like sleeping on rocks and when we tried to watch the TV it lost signal permanently so was a waste of time. The hotel advertises free wi-fi but we could only get that if we were sat in the reception area.The pool was lovely but the sun loungers and umbrellas need replacing as most were broken. The only positive I can give was for the pool side entertainment team, they were brilliant and offered games like water polo and darts. They also had pilates and water aerobics for the guests and the lads that ran all these activities were really good and friendly. I would give this hotel a 2* rating at best.

  Room fantastic! So spacious always cleaned, hotel was clean just looking a worn in places (sunbed, parasols and balinese beds) this is a simple cosmetic fix which i think they are very aware off and probably updating. Pool barman (sorry can not remember name) worked so hard and Matteo on reception absoulute credit to the company, animation team was nearly end of season but your energy and enthusiasm was perfect not pushy either. Food was nice sometimes repetitive but thats not a bad thing gives people there safe go to foods.Would definitely come here again, despite my two year old grandson confusing the drago tree logo with a broccoli ??
