  What amazing service, had room service delivered by Mark and couldn’t have asked for better service! Thanks so much. Only on our first day here but already so impressed. We are circle members and it’s service like this that reminds us why we keep coming back. The hotel is stunning.

  Fabulous location the views and beach are spectacular. We came for the kite surfing.Nice spacious room, view overlooking the road but was quiet. We enjoyed the Gastro hall food and found the food generally of a high standard. Bit limited as we are pescatarian.We didn't enjoy the Restaurant Kanna as service too slow.Mahos restaurant was pretentious and the food not worthy of all the hype. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks. We went twice and both times exactly the same.Many of the Bali beds have broken back rests.As a no smoking hotel , this isn't what is practised. No seating outside for non smokers. Outside the Ginger bar was just full of smokers. Many guests smoking around the swimming pool and staff walking past them ignoring this. The floor is covered in cigarette butts. Long queue for drinks at the Shack and Ginger bar, having to wait 30 minutes for a drink day and night is not acceptable for a 5 * hotel.Breakfast outside was not possible due to the number of pigeons scavenging for food. The tables and chairs are covered in pigeon poop!

  Had a lovely holiday at this hotel. Was a little apprehensive after reading some negative reviews. I don’t get the awful reviews, but if a five star price has been paid I can understand how people would be dissatisfied with the food and service level. The buffet food is 3.5-4 star. Variety is great and the desserts were lovely, they just need to keep the food warmer. Restaurant food quality is closer to five star, I just think the hotel needs more staff. An example is breakfast. Only once in our 10 day stay was I asked if I wanted tea/coffee. All other times had to stop staff to ask.The hotel is beautiful with lovely well maintained grounds and pool areas. Stayed with my husband and 2 year old daughter. Hotel was toddler friendly and my daughter loved the pool, beach, playground and mini disco. The kids club staff were lovely too and although kids activities were for 5 years plus, they let my daughter join in one cloudy morning with me supervising as they weren’t full, which I thought was nice. Room was modern, spacious and cleaned daily. Only downside was our air con did not function properly. It was colder and noisier off than on. We mentioned it and were told it had a sensor in it that worked even when off but it cannot be normal for air con to keep going like it did when supposedly off. The only way we didn’t wake up cold was to have it on low at 27oC which is also not normal. We couldn’t be bothered to complain more as we had moved rooms on day 2 and this room had a better view and location. Our first room was fine in itself but we had requested a low floor at time of booking. We got there and were told our room would be on floor 4 as there were none available lower down, but they then put us on floor 8. We went on a waiting list to be contacted when a lower floor room was ready and we were put on floor 2 the following evening.Overall we had a great holiday here. We were lucky to get a good deal and I would stay again in future, just would not pay a five star price, more like 4 star.   Excellent hotel one of the best 5* hotels, great hotelier group Melia.All staff extremely friendly, and helpful.Hotel, pools, and grounds well maintained, very clean. Food options in all restaurants excellent, drinks of a high standard.Don’t think I could ever get board of the food, or views of this beautiful hotel. Can’t wait to return!
