  Our best Fuerteventura holiday yet, by far!

  We stayed at the Royal Palm Resort @ Spa for two weeks in March, and from the moment we booked we knew the location was outside the urban area but that was exactly what we were looking for. The question was whether the resort would live up to our expectations and it certainly did in so far that we have already booked another two weeks in November!! Our room was large, spacious and very comfortable, with a lovely comfortable bed. Throughout our two week stay the linen and towels were changed regularly, and the room was cleaned to a high standard. We stayed on a half-board basis, which isn’t usually our preferred choice, so we weren’t quite sure what to expect. We were genuinely impressed by the range and quality of the food throughout our stay. My wife has a gluten intolerance and her dietary needs were extremely well catered for. The chefs and waiting staff went out of their way to make sure she was looked after which gave us great confidence and made a big difference to our holiday. The waiting staff throughout the resort were polite, friendly and incredibly hardworking. They really did go above and beyond in their roles.The food selection was extensive, and one thing that particularly impressed us was how well everything was maintained. The dishes were continually replenished, and there was always someone making sure the food looked fresh, appealing and well presented. The dining experience was far better than we had expected. The hotel itself is large and spacious, but despite its size it was clean, peaceful and relaxing. We never had any problem finding sun loungers, and liked the fact that they were well spaced out rather than being packed together. The poolside bars were another great feature and provided a lovely relaxed atmosphere. As others have mentioned, the complementary glass of Prosecco on arrival is a lovely touch, as is having a porter take our luggage to our room was much appreciated after our journey.The hotel’s position above the beach is fantastic and the view of the sea from our room was simply amazing. We have been visiting Fuerteventura for almost 40 years, and this was one of the best holidays we’ve had on the island. In fact we only wish we had booked the Royal Palm Resort & Spa many years before!!

  A wonderful holiday.

  A beautiful place with an incredible view of the sea. The atmosphere of the hotel is special due to the hotel’s unique cascading structure. My room was very comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, and as a bonus, I had access to a terrace with a magnificent view of the ocean. The hotel is in a very quiet location, which I appreciated, as I work in the hospitality industry and this place guarantees a very peaceful environment. I would like to thank all the staff—from the reception and kitchen teams to the poolside baristas and the housekeeping staff. It was a wonderful vacation, and I would love to come back here again someday

  Lovely stay here. Breakfast buffet was amazing and the sleep at night listening the sea waves is just so comforting. Good amount of activities happening around the bar too so don't really need to travel out. There are also shops on the ground floor. Oh and I had never fried octopus before but the one served in the restaurant was so nicely made.

  Arrived at 10pm after flight delayed and sitting on plane for a hour before we took off then got transfer another hour sitting on coach . Eventually got to hotel lovely room although aircon poor have better aircon at home ! Offered tuna salad and one bottle of water small between us - don’t like fish so awful start to what was a short trip away in the sun No atmosphere at this hotel no sounds of laughter no smiles from staff or guests Food good and we did enjoy our holiday pools lovely Didn’t appreciate the charge for pool towels and water in our room I work in a hotel myself and we have never charged our guest for water in room everyday Never ever been charged to change a pool towels Would I come back no the tui palace Jandia and tui calypso much more friendly and accommodating

  Our recent stay at the Royal Palm was extremely disappointing. We have stayed here before, but unfortunately the service and overall condition of the hotel have declined significantly. For the first two nights, the noise from the bar was so loud that it felt like it was inside our room. After calling reception on the first night, we were told there was nothing they could do. The following morning, I went to reception to complain in person and was told we couldn’t be moved until the next day, meaning we had to endure another sleepless night with the loud music.When it was finally time to change rooms, we were told our new room wasn’t ready. We had to pack all of our belongings and leave them in a storage room while we waited to be contacted. After waiting all day, it got to 6pm and we still hadn’t heard anything, so I had to go back to reception myself to ask if our room was ready. I don’t think it’s acceptable that I had to chase the hotel for an update. To make matters worse, our new room had twin beds instead of the king bed we had requested. Reception assured us the beds would be joined together while we were out. We spent time by the pool and then went out for dinner, yet when we returned, nothing had been done. I had to make a third trip to reception before the issue was finally resolved. The food was also very inconsistent. Dishes would appear one evening and then disappear the next because they hadn’t prepared enough. The most concerning issue was at the buffet, where I was served three slices of turkey, two of which were completely raw underneath. I reported this to a waiter, who mumbled something in Spanish, but nothing appeared to be done about it. Serving raw poultry is a serious health and safety concern and should have been treated as such. The hotel’s condition has also deteriorated. It looks tired and poorly maintained, with damaged ceilings and signs of neglect throughout the property. It’s clear that maintenance is not being kept on top of.What was most frustrating was the lack of ownership from the staff. Whenever we raised concerns or were asked how our stay had been, the response was simply, “We’ll ask a manager about it. ” We heard this more than once, but nothing ever came of it.Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. Between the noise, poor organisation, lack of communication, food safety concerns, and the deteriorating condition of the hotel, I cannot recommend staying here. I sincerely hope the management addresses these issues, as the hotel has the potential to be much better than what we experienced.
