  I’m still here and having a wonderful time! The hotel is wonderful and the food it so good. I read all the reviews just before I came and I was worried ?? but from the moment I arrived I have had nothing but good experiences here. Staff are helpful. No robberies (if that changes I will come back on here to say so lol). Not sure why this hotel receives so many negative reviews, don’t understand it at all.   Hotel need a reservation and new manager

  The first impression when we arrived was very bad; the photos were taken 60 years ago when the hotel was built. The hotel smells like urine, and they don't clean the rooms—only turn the sheets inside out. The food is only pork and chicken, and the desserts are always the same; after 3 days, you get tired of the same foods. The hotel seems to have no owner or manager and urgently needs a major renovation and a manager like me! The hotel has great potential to be the best on the entire island, but it needs a new manager. 98% of the people I talked to said they would never return here, which is a big disappointment for the owner! The air conditioning doesn't work, the entertainment is terrible, the kids quickly become discouraged, and there's no creativity at all. I would definitely make this hotel the best in the region, after a major renovation, of course! We are sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations, although some of the statements in your review certainly require clarification.Firstly, we can assure you that our photographs were not taken “60 years ago”. They show the actual hotel and its facilities. We openly acknowledge that the property is not a newly built resort and that certain areas would benefit from modernisation, but describing it in such extreme terms does not provide a particularly realistic picture.We must also strongly disagree with the statement that our rooms are not cleaned and that housekeeping simply “turns the sheets inside out”. Our housekeeping team works extremely hard every day, and such an accusation is both unfair and disrespectful towards employees who professionally service our guest rooms on a daily basis.Likewise, our buffet does not consist exclusively of pork and chicken. We provide a selection of meat, fish, vegetables, salads, pasta, rice, fruit, desserts and other dishes. Naturally, with an international buffet, personal preferences will always differ.Regarding the entertainment programme, our animation team provides activities and evening entertainment for different ages and nationalities. We understand that not every programme will appeal equally to every guest, but describing the entire team's work as lacking any creativity is a rather sweeping judgement.We were particularly interested to read several times that what the hotel really needs is “a manager like you” and that you personally would make it the best hotel in the region. We appreciate the confidence and the unsolicited application for the position; however, we can reassure you that **SBH Club Paraiso Playa does indeed have a Management team**.As for the claim that “98%” of the people you spoke to would never return, we cannot comment on the methodology or sample size of this spontaneous guest survey. What we can say is that we welcome many repeat guests every year, some of whom have been returning to our hotel for many years.On one point, however, we are happy to agree with you: **SBH Club Paraiso Playa has enormous potential**, thanks particularly to its exceptional location, spectacular views and wonderful beach.   Worst hotel experience

Our buffet provides different options throughout the week, including meat, poultry, fish, vegetables, salads, pasta, rice, fruit and desserts, among others. Naturally, when catering for guests of many different nationalities and dietary preferences, not every dish will appeal to everyone. Our restaurant team is also available to advise guests about the different options when they do not eat certain products.We are also sorry that you were dissatisfied with the cleanliness of your room. Our housekeeping team services the rooms regularly, and any specific issue reported to reception during a stay can be checked and addressed accordingly.Regarding luggage assistance, porter service is not one of the services included in our hotel concept. This should therefore not be interpreted as a poor welcome.As for insects, Fuerteventura has a warm climate and our hotel is located in a natural coastal environment. Despite regular preventive treatments carried out by specialised pest-control companies, the occasional presence of insects cannot be completely avoided.We are particularly surprised by the statement that “nothing you see in the pictures related to the hotel is real”. The photographs show the actual hotel, its facilities, location and surroundings.   Terrible hotel. Do not book!

  DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! I had jewellery taken from my room. The balcony and windows were locked so whoever came in had the room key.Reception decided they couldn't understand English and the manager didn't want to know and said it was between me and the police!On checking out another couple also had things taken from their room. The hotel is in dire need of an update. The pool tiles were coming off the pool and leaving sharp tiles. The showers by the pools didn't work and had heads missing from them.There are lots of reviews on here about robberies so please choose a different hotel. We fully understand that discovering valuables missing from a room is an upsetting experience, and we take every report of this nature seriously.However, we would like to clarify an important point. The fact that there were no visible signs of forced entry does **not automatically mean that somebody entered using a room key**, and it would therefore be incorrect to present this assumption as a fact. Following reported incidents, the electronic door-lock records can be checked to establish which registered cards accessed the room.Regarding the response from reception, when an alleged theft is reported, the hotel follows an established procedure. The affected guest must file an official report with the police, as the investigation of a possible criminal offence falls under the responsibility of the competent authorities. Informing a guest that the matter must be reported to the police should therefore not be interpreted as a lack of interest or support from the hotel.We also reject the suggestion that our reception staff deliberately "decided" not to understand English. Our team welcomes guests of many different nationalities every day and makes every effort to communicate and assist them.Regarding security, the hotel has electronic access systems and CCTV in the areas where cameras are legally permitted. Spanish privacy legislation does not allow surveillance cameras to be installed indiscriminately, particularly in areas directly affecting guests' privacy.We take note of your maintenance comments concerning the pool tiles and outdoor showers.
