  Nightmare holiday

  We went to celebrate our daughters 21st birthday and it turned into a nightmare ants crawling across their bed and give a spray to do it themselves. Room change refused and the staffs attitude left a lot to be desired. The resort needs money spent on it, hand dryers not working archways with cracks in making you wonder if it was safe. As you walk down from reception to the pool all you can smell is sewage, not nice. There were pigeons walking around inside the dining room and then the outside eating area egrets and pigeons were landing on table to steal scraps. When the tables were cleared they were wiped down with a cloth that was used on all the tables and no cleaning spray used. A huge disappointment for what was meant to be a celebration. Will definitely not be going there again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone

  I just returned from a week at Monica Beach. As usual, it was exactly what I expected. The hotel is perfectly located, with easy and pleasant beach access. All-inclusive dining, so everyone will find something to enjoy. The hotel isn't new, but the daily upkeep and cleanliness are clearly evident. The view from the room is "dreamlike," but that's what I paid for. When I read that towels and sheets aren't changed daily, I have to ask myself, how often do you do that at home? Certainly, not every day or every other day. If you have a problem with the food, the food at the hotel next door, the "Palace...", is certainly better, but it's not all-inclusive. That's how it works. You make decisions and bear the consequences. What suits one guest may not necessarily suit another.
