This comfortable hotel is located in the commercial centre of Girona just 10 km from Barcelona airport. The hotel offers excellent links to the A7 and it is just 30 minutes to the Costa Brava and about 1 hour to the ski slopes of the Pyrenees.     This is THE BEST Best Western Hotel I have ever stayed at. I would rate it fully on par with a Hilton or Marriott hotel. Almost everything about it was super. Huge, confortable bed. Fantastic bathtub with excellent shower. Lots of drawer & shelf space and space for hanging clothes - so rare in hotels these days. The curtains overlapped so the room could be truly dark at night -- too often hotel curtains do not fully keep out the light. Breakfasts were outstanding with excellent smoked salmon, fried eggs, delicious apple cake, and much more. The service and staff were always outstanding. I was not thrilled when I heard my hosts had booked me at a Best Western but I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. The only problem at the hotel was the computerized electrical heating and cooling system. For example, one day I attended a lunch for roughly 15 on the 1st floor; we could not regulate the temperature in the room and it was too cold so we requested that the air conditioning be turned down. Perhaps no one on staff knew how to operate the system, but they said the only options were (a) on as it was or (b) off. So we opted for off, but by mid-lunch it was much too warm. It was also extremely difficult to regulate the temperature in my hotel room; the system seemed to pay my settings no mind.

    The hotel itself is nice, clean and comfortable.The staff are rude and miserable. I asked for a pina colada on night one on the bar, to be told no, I don’t have time and need to eat, you can have beer, wine or soft drinks.We tried again on night 2, after waiting over 10mins to be acknowledged and served, even though the bar was empty, again a cocktail was a NO.Breakfast was very poor on all 4 days. You could only get scrambled eggs, hot dog sausage, mixed veg, or beans on hot buffet, and if you asked the lady behind the counter for an omelette, she would huff and puff, make it and slap it on your plate, and you could only have plain omelette.There were cereals, toast, pastries and fruit available.Everything was disorganised, tables nit laid ready, not enough cups or cutlery, and staff just ignored you, no nice greetings or anything, it made you feel quite intimidated and an inconvenience.There were no staff we came across who were friendly or willing to give you the service you would expect for 4 star hotel. Very disappointing.

    We stayed at the Best Western for 5 nights over Christmas. It was a mixed experience.Pros - Good value for money, junior suite was a nice sized room in decent condition. Car parking underneath the hotel(although its tight of you have a large car). Main department store of Girona next door.Cons - 25 mins walk to the main area of Girona. No individual room control for heating in the room so it was much too hot and we could not change the temperature. Too strong disinfectant used when cleaning the room so we didn't have it cleaned after first night. No separate shower(had to stand in bath). Eggs were not hot at breakfast and dinner in restaurant was poor, although cheap. Not particularly friendly staff.

    Very cozy, great beds. Bathroom was odd -layout complicated and no ventilation, but the water pressure and temp was great. Not close to the old city, but accessible to shops. Quiet. The on site restaurant was decent and very useful given the distance to other options.

    A nice luxury hotel just outside Girona city center.Convenient parking below, and a comfortable room, the kind of room you would expect.The champagne breakfast is a nice touch in the morning.Reception staff was friendly, and I would stay here again.
