Location

The family-friendly hotel is situated in the heart of Alt Empordà, the city of the surrealism genius Dalí, 400 metres from the centre. The bus and train stations are about 400 m away. Girona-Costa Brava Airport is located some 53 km from the hotel.

    Don't stay here. Avoid at all costs.

    The only positive thing about this hotel is that it was fairly clean.Don't stay here. We checked out on the second day (and would have left sooner). We didn't feel safe nor had a good rest. The hotel doesn't deserve 3 stars at all. There are men who stay at the hotel hanging around at the hotel and on the second morning there was ambulance and police discussing with them. We didn't feel safe. The hotel car park is open 24h but there's no security, gates are always open, there are again, men hanging around in there and there are no security codes to enter to exit like in other 3 star hotels like Ibis for example.The rooms are very dated with mold, uncomfortable beds, hair drier that falls apart.The main issue is that the room doors are regular doors you would have had in your house back inthe 80s with a simple key, not an electric one. So you can hear every single noise. We had very disturbed sleep and didn't feel safe at all. What seem the only positive note, the pool, had a broken ladder to get into. Clearly not intending to fix as it's summer which is peak season. Very disappointing. Avoid at all costs

    We, 2 adults and 1 child, stayed her for 5 nights at the end of Aug 2024. On arriving we wondered what we'd done. We ended up not arriving until after 11pm as our flight had been delayed and we couldn't get into the hotel. We were getting prepared to sleep in the car when someone arrived and we managed to get checked in!The staff at the hotel had very very limited English which did make it quite hard. The room we were in was basic and didn't have a great view - we really missed having a balcony to dry our swimming things on. But we booked it very last minute so we weren't expecting amazing. The room was cleaned every day which we weren't expecting so that was great. The actual hotel was obviously amazing at one point but, as seems to be fairly standard, it's now looking a bit dated and could do with being painted. But it was clean and tidy and did what was needed. The breakfast was a fairly standard and basic continental breakfast. There was bacon, sausage and frittata, along with various biscuits/cakes, yoghurt, croissants, toast and fruit. The evening meals were brilliant on most nights. We were half board and we had a set menu of starter, main course and the either dessert or coffee. The portion sizes were amazing, too big in fact, and the meals were very tasty.The swimming pool area is very small and only had 1 sunbed. But as we were often the only ones there then that wasn't an issue. As mentioned in other reviews, it appears that there are people staying at the hotel who may be immigrant. While this isn't ideal it didn't actually affect us in any way as they kept themselves to themselves and didn't cause any issues. All in all we had a good stay and used the hotel as a base for visiting Girona and the beach and to generally relax.

    Pretty dire experience. Grim dark room with damp and widow open onto a wall. I booked this for the night to take my teenage daughters to the Dali museum as special event . This definitely isn’t what the pictures portray and there are lots of young immigrant males hanging around, which made us all anxious. Grumpy rude lady announced the pool was closed and three us out, despite the door being open. She then disappeared and reception was closed at 3pm so nobody around to discuss this further. I had booked dinner but decided to venture into town instead as the whole place was a shoddy joke for the price.

    Lovely hotel. Comfortable and pool and parking. This time unnerving with many young coloured men hanging around entrance,parking area and foyer. Throughout the day and night . such a shame . We have stayed a few times too

    Cancelled booking without warning.

    This hotel yesterday (january 2019) cancelled the booking made in november 2018, claiming that my credit card was not valid. When I saw the email regarding this half a day later and asked them to hold the reservation until the matter was fixed, they had already cancelled the reservation given the room out to new gests. No possibility to fix the matter as they then had "no rooms". Recomend all to choose another hotel as you will never know if you booking is suddenly cancelled. Note, credit card worked 2 hours later when a new hotell was booked for my trip.
