  Pension, not Hostel. A bad experience

  Both the "Hostel" category and the photos do not correspond to reality 8 or they reserve the worst rooms for Booking clients).It is a very low-level pension, located at the entrance to the city, in the heart of the industrial estate. The owners were not friendly at all and did not even take our ID. We only had contact, in the three days we stayed, with the cleaning person, very friendly and helpful. They called us to change our room, without much explanation, and we had to stay in a third room without an elevator. We had to ask for missing towels, a glass, hangers and something to cover the bed (only the sheet was there). They didn't even give us a towel for the floor. A metal store rack was all there was to place our clothes. With that room and bathroom, this boarding house should cost half as much, but they are taking advantage of the shortage. Due to its low quality, I do not recommend this accommodation for anything in the world, except in an emergency. We, of course, will return to Figueres, but never to the "Hostal" Don Pepe.   Definitely not what I expected

  Was told by booking.com that this was a great deal and so I booked two nights as I planned on motorcycling in the area. I arrive and cannot enter until someone on the street told me I had to go to the closed bar next door. The owner was alright but nothing more. The room was clean-ish, the shower head cannot be mounted and the bed wasn't the most comfortable. I checked out a day early because they were announcing snow and rain in the area and on a motorcycle it isn't the best. The owner refused the reimbursement and didn't even want to partially reimburse my second night. The hotel is outside the city center and in a shady area. Also, you can hear everyone in the building at all hours.

  a rat hole not worth the money

  stayed here for one night. It is a very basic hostel. room was clean, but bed was terrible. the shower head could not be mounted. no water glasses or soap in the bathroom. all in all not worth the 70 euro's that is charged. the pictures are too flattering. also the hostal is situated in a very shady part of figueres,
