This hotel is located about 10 min by car from the centre of Figeures. Links to the public transport network can be reached in about 100 m, while the nearest nightclubs are around 1 km away. Girona, the provincial capital, is 30 min drive from the hotel. It takes about 1h30 to Barcelona, while Girona airport lies some 55 km away.

Facility

3 suites, 12 single rooms and 27 double rooms are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A cloakroom, a baggage storage service and a safe are available. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (for a fee). Other services include medical assistance, room service (for a fee), a laundry service, a hairdresser and a coin-operated laundry. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. Guests can enjoy the mountain view from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a mini fridge included among the standard features. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. Various dining options are available, including a restaurant, a café and a bar. A generous breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers special catering options.     Mixed Experience at Hotel Empordà

    This was our second stay at Hotel Empordà, having previously visited in 2018. Unfortunately, the hotel has seen better days and seems to be in need of some maintenance. We noticed peeling paint and cracks in the ceiling, and the room was not as clean as we would have expected. Additionally, there was an unpleasant smell of tobacco in the room, which detracted from our comfort. It’s clear that the rooms could use a refreshing update.Breakfast has also changed since our last visit, no longer offering a buffet but instead requiring guests to choose from a set list. Unfortunately, not all items were available, and we had to adjust our choices. The boiled eggs were undercooked, and despite requesting milk for my coffee, it never arrived, so I had to drink it black. Additionally, the toast was burnt, which is disappointing considering the hotel’s four-star rating and the price we paid. On the bright side, the freshly squeezed orange juice and smoothie were excellent.On the positive side, the hotel is dog-friendly, which is a plus for pet owners, and the staff were polite and professional. The layout and size of the room were great, and the location, close to the highway, is very convenient for travelers.However, as it stands, I don’t feel that Hotel Empordà currently lives up to its four-star rating. The price no longer reflects the quality of the experience, and there are areas in need of improvement. We hope to see some changes in the future, as this hotel has a lot of potential.     External traffic noise was horrendous, we had a rooms at the front (main access road into Figueres) and a room at the rear of the hotel (bypass road that every one uses - built of cobble section). For a quality very disappointed would not recommend.     Good hotel to stop around Figuérès on our way to France

    This hotel is well located off AP-7 on road N-II. It is apparently rated 4 stars but do not deserve it since it requires some adjustment on the decoration, mainly the lobby and the rooms (at least ours). Welcome was friendly. The room was large as well as the bathroom. Everything was clean. The whole window structure needs to be changes. Overall there is too much of wood use (doors, windows, etc.)We had a good sleep night. Before we had dinner at the restaurant and the food/wine/service were excellent with cheese and dessert carts brought at the table. I would rate this hotel a good 3 stars. The owner should invest in some refurbishing.     Lovely hotel, good for pets

    We stayed here with our dog. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and helpful. It is beautifully situated if you are staying with a pet, as it is on the edge of town with nearby walks available, but not too far to walk into town. Figueres has some lovely restaurants and bars. We had breakfast included and it was fantastic. Very plentiful and healthy, with a lovely choice. The hotel has electric charging points for cars.     Lovely and very clean hotel with nice staff!

    Really great hotel, very clean in all areas, already recognizable when entering the lobby! The lady receptionist at arrival was super kind and helpful with tipps also the waitress serving breakfast the next morning. Like a sunshine in the morning, very welcoming personality and perfect for the morning shift I would say:). But poor her that she was all by herself serving all incoming guests. She managed everything in a very fast, professional and heartly way but there should be a second person. We just stayed one night but on our return to Spain we stopped by again in the afternoon to have a drink since we had very good memories of the hotel. And here again the young waiter treated us very kindly...Thank you!
