Acceptable but not as good as we expected

    rating09 Apr 2026

Acceptable stay but really not as good as it should have been. Reception staff were excellent and helpful. Other staff at bar and breakfast were a little surly. Rooms are a little dated, and none face forward. We overlooked an entrance to underground car park and were disturbed by lorries outside during the night on several nights. Housekeeping staff would knock on the door to service the room at around 8:30 if we were not up by then so we learnt to display Do Not Disturb sign. Outside space and balcony is a good space with good view and plenty of seating. Pool is VERY small if that is something that is important to you. Breakfast was OK but the worst of three simillarly priced hotels we stayed in on this trip to Spain. I'm not a coffee drinker but those in our group that were said the cofee was awful. Aircon never seemed to operate in the communal spaces making the large open plan lobby / restaurant / bar area very hot and stuffy even when it was relatively mild outside. Hotel is a little out of town and uphill but that was pretty much as we expected and wasnt too much hassle and the hill isn't bad. Good points are the view, terrace area, excellent reception staff and plenyy of easy to access parking.

A really nice hotel situated overlooking the city. Excellent staff. Generous rooms with nice bathrooms. Water pressure is a bit low. Free parking.

    Extorted

    rating27 Aug 2025

Our experience at the Hotel Palau de Bellavista in Girona was extremely disappointing. We specifically chose this hotel because it advertised a swimming pool, but what they actually have is a tiny plastic tank, far too small for a hotel, with hot water that is not refreshing at all. We felt completely misled and even extorted by this false advertising. The location is also inconvenient, as it is far from the city center on foot. The room was clean, but everything inside looked old and worn. The furniture and facilities clearly need renovation to provide any real comfort.Overall, the hotel does not match the advertised services, the price paid, or even basic expectations for a comfortable stay. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent Choice for Business Events – Stunning Views & Exceptional Service

    rating08 Jun 2025

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Palau URH Bellavista while attending a work event, and the experience was outstanding. The hotel offers a perfect balance between functionality and comfort, with modern design, great service, and peaceful surroundings ideal for unwinding after a long day.One of the highlights was the rooftop terrace, which offers breathtaking views of Girona. It was the perfect place to relax with a drink at sunset. The event facilities were spacious and well-prepared, and the staff made everything run smoothly from start to finish. Our room was bright, quiet, and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was varied and delicious, and we had a lovely dinner at the restaurant with generous portions of Mediterranean cuisine. The private parking garage was a real plus, especially for those arriving by car. As electric vehicle users, we were happy to find EV chargers on-site—but unfortunately, the price of €0.79/kWh is frankly excessive. That said, it’s important to clarify that the pricing is not set by the hotel itself, but by Porsche, the company that operates the charging system. Still, we hope to see more affordable and sustainable charging options in the future.Overall, our stay was excellent. Friendly staff, beautiful surroundings, and an ideal setting for both work and rest. We’d definitely return—and we encourage other EV drivers to check charging prices in advance.

Comfortable, but facilities not up to expectations.

    rating15 Dec 2024

(+) Stunning views, especially at sunset.(+) Spacious open-air and garage parking, included in the price.(+) Very quiet and large rooms. The bed was incredibly comfortable and huge.(+) Staff were efficient and friendly.(+) Breakfast options were satisfying.(+) There was a 24/7 self-service bar at the Reception with snacks and tea/coffee, upon extra (small) charge, which we found very convenient.(-) Location: 15-20min on foot from city center. Steep uphill. We got a taxi to return from our walk.(-) Cleanliness was far from the 4-star standards that we expected to find. Attention to detail needs improvement; we found mold in some parts of the bathroom, hair on the floor from previous guests, dust on surfaces of the room.(-) Equipment needs serious maintenance or even renovation, as everything seemed too “tired” and overused. Furniture seemed just so randomly collected and placed in the room, there was no concept just mix-and-match. *** The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, a bit outside of the city center. The staff reassured us that the place is safe to walk at night, and indeed we didn't face any issues. However, we did notice some people engaging in behavior that seemed strange after dark. While this might simply be a personal observation, or even just coincidence, maybe it's something you'd want to consider if you plan any evening city walk.
