  Not a place we will return to ever again.. Needs serious improvements in all areas.

  We decided to end our trip here thinking we could relax with our four year old, as they claim to have child care, activities, etc. While I can’t blame them for making an effort, they fall very short from any standards you would find at more well known hotels/resorts. Simply, there is no consistent life guards on duty. There is only one for three pool areas and this one disappears for whatever reason they choose. They will be lucky to not have a dead child at some point because they got hurt on the in water toys or simply just drowned while nobody was paying attention. Playground toys in pool are very rusted, broken, etc. The food is subpar. It is made for mass amounts of people and is the lowest quality I have seen in Brasilian hotels and definitely elsewhere. Usually Brasilian hotels have fantastic food. My son and I both got sick after eating something on the first night. The rooms have patio areas with broken wooden slats. If a child got out there, there is a direct walk to the ocean. Beware. The people are mostly nice and try to make an effort but management, training, an understanding of safety, cleanliness, etc. are just not there.Things in general are not well maintained. All grass is dead. Everything needs repairs, painting, updating. The pool is dirty!!The room had many ants in it. The vent for the air conditioning is filthy dirty. The hotel. On a good note, 90% of the employees are just very nice. They try their best and execute well with what they have available. The issue is management, lack of investment, lack of care for quality and safety standards. My suggestion is that management take safety as a number one priority. Hire a safety consultant to review things. Improve the quality of the food, please. It is horrible. It is sad that this hotel is like this because it could really be a jewel for the area.   Paradise for Children!

  First and foremost the people and the service were both great. Our room was sea-facing. Though our first room had a faulty air-conditioner, they fixed it once but it broke again and then we got another room. The people were extremely apologetic for the trouble, and we could not stay upset!The location is good, it takes about 40 minutes by Uber to reach the resort.Amenities are good, and you can get towels/sabonettes/shampoos- as much as you like. Food was good- breakfast not extremely good- but they make it up with the excellent deserts especially the Torta de Kitkat and Torta de Chocolate. The pool bar, beach bar both have a long opening hour and you can drink as much as you like. We do not drink alcohol, so we had agua de coco and juices. Oh! the chef makes great risotto. It is a children paradise. Every morning and evening they have programs for the children. Beach walk, pool dance, treasure hunts, disco, games, magic nights- it is a fun time for kids! There is a baby room where you can warm up baby food or clean the bottles. Live music every night- so fun for adults as well. Oh, they also have zumba and rhythmic dance classes for adults in the evening. The spa and massage is really good. Oh, and we loved the barrista at the lobby coffee corner. There are lots of Mikos (small monkeys). There are supposed to be Saruyes (opossums)- but we did not see any. There are some stray dogs and cats- which are apparently harmless. They have a tour group which provides city tour every morning. Over all experience is good, apart from the occasional hiccups.
