  Just back from a stay in these apartments ! Room was massive and spotless and cleaned regularly, wifi was €5 for the week for 5 devices and close to beach / shops. The pool is a lot bigger than what the photos show too and it does get quiet sometimes apart from on the odd occasion children being in the pool ! Only thing that the apartments lack is sockets and if you’re arriving late phone the number and security will check you in.

  Nice spacious apartment, we were on the top floor and just about had a sea view. Regularly cleaned. Good little kitchen with large fridge although no kettle just a coffee maker. Reception was manned every day and the guys were friendly and helpful, particularly when my husband developed a chest infection, (a result of flu a week previously) and they advised where to go to be seen by a dr and get antibiotics. The pool is nice but small with very little space around it, we tended to spend a couple of hours there late afternoon after returning from day trips and it usually was empty or one other group/couple. The hotel is Very close to the beach on a pretty and quiet road, plenty of parking spaces on the road which is also wide so no worries about parking our rental there. a couple of supermarkets are within a few minutes walk. We needed a late checkout but unfortunately our apartment had someone coming into it otherwise the owners said we could’ve stayed free of charge. Usually we would have hung by the pool but there are no toilet facilities there, you have to use your apartment.We were very happy with our stay, great budget option.Playa del Ingles Beach although huge and spacious can get very windy so we found having a car really useful for trying out the other more sheltered beaches in the area (guys on reception great for suggesting where to go). The town is large and rambling built purely for tourists, but loads of palm trees make it more attractive, when not venturing to other parts of the island we stayed pretty much just around the hotel area and ate out on the beach promenade strip (tacky but fun and friendly with a tonne of restaurants albeit most of the offering identical menus ). I recommend hiring a car and exploring and going into the mountains.

  A lovely little apartment complex close to the beach/dunes, we had apt 104 which goes strait out to the pool area. Large sized apt which sleeps up to 3 plenty room to move and has a ceiling fan in lounge. Water 5ltr provided to start you off!!Close to supermarket hiperdino for cheap booze/fags and groceries. Cant ask for better and lovely staff there inc the maidsTop tip-- bus stop nearby -take the 32 to puerto mogan for a taste of little venice . Under 10 euro return p.p.

  Maba playa the best place to stay when you are a couple a family or just traveling for business. Very clean and well kept place, happy and professional staff there was never a problem when we needed something. Close to the beach, Dunnes and shopping centres as there are couple around the place.   A very reasonably priced apartment in an excellent location; on a quiet street – with plenty of on-street parking if like us you’ve hired a car – just a couple of minutes’ walk from the beach. For groceries there is a small Spar (Las Camelias) seven minutes walk away, and a larger one in the Yumbo Centre about ten minutes away.The apartment is family owned, and often it will be one of two brothers you’ll meet on reception. Both are very friendly, helpful and welcoming, and speak excellent English, and we ended up having some long conversations. They are decent, honest family people, not in the business to make as much money as they can from tourists, but to create a warm welcome and great stay for their guests. Others have commented on the cleanliness of the property, and the cleaners do work very hard – and with a smile on their face too; the apartment was spotless. And very spacious as well.Top tip: being small the reception is not staffed all hours, so if you’re going to be arriving late in the evening as we were, let them know ahead of time. In our case this allowed the man who was working that day to go home, have dinner with his family and then return later ready for our arrival. If reception is closed when you arrive, just call the number on the door, it was diverting to his mobile. When it’s dark the actual entrance is a little hard to find as it’s a small footpath and there is only a small unlit sign next to it, but it is right off the side of the street; the property itself is easier to spot, as it has a large illuminated sign on the side of the building.Before you book do be aware that the rooms do NOT have air conditioning; the property targets the cooler parts of the year. Amenities in the room are as described in other reviews. As some others have commented, the beds are a little on the harder side. The apartments are very short on electrical sockets, and if you do as we did and push the two single beds together, that’s the one socket in the room that you could have plugged a phone charger into now lost. The microwave which is on a shelf above the worktop in the small kitchen area has to be lifted off the shelf to be able to plug it in, unless you want it half hanging off the shelf for the cord to reach. The reason for the small number of sockets is the age of the property – it doesn’t look it, all all! – ask the owners to show you a photo in reception taken when it was first built; it was just about the only building in the area. One of the brothers told us they are planning to add some electrical provision in the apartments with USB charging points, that would be great.The only improvement we’d have liked to see is that nearly all of the sun loungers around the pool are the cheaper lay-flat-only design, they don’t have tilting, adjustable backs. OK if you want to lie and sunbathe, but not to sit up and read. When we asked about this we were told there were adjustable ones around the property, and a couple were very helpfully brought for us. But we found a number of the adjustable ones had parts missing or broken that didn’t allow them to be used properly. Since all designs of adjustable loungers can also lie flat, we felt it was a mistake to have purchased the lie-flat only ones to begin with. Just about everywhere we stay, all are adjustable. If the owners read this, we’d recommend checking every lounger and repairing or replacing the broken ones. :-)This however was only a minor niggle for our stay. We were very pleased we’d booked Maba Playa and would definitely recommend to others.
