Location

This hotel (Adults-Only) is situated amidst much greenery, approximately 800 m from the beach. The town centre is about 2 km away; convenient public transport links are only 200 m away. It is 30 km to the airport.

Facility

The hotel has 800 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 4 storeys and are reachable by lift. English- and German-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are a number of shops, including a souvenir shop. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Parking spaces are available to guests travelling by car. Other services include a car hire service, medical assistance, room service, a laundry service and a hairdresser.

Rooms

Air conditioning, central heating and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. In most units, guests can enjoy a view of the sea from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a minibar are also available. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the outdoor pool area. A hot tub invites guests to soothe their muscles, and a poolside snack bar will take care of any hungry bellies. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. For guests who wish to keep active, cycling/mountain biking and tennis are available. Sport and leisure facilities at the hotel include a gym, table tennis and billiards.     This was our first visit to the Riu Palace Maspalomas since a refurbishment. A good hotel but now even better. All meals were superb with excellent choice and quality. Two al acarte restaurants both excellent. Rooms were fine with superb views over the dunes. Staff were all brilliant, happy working with and for each other to ensure guests were well looked after. They couldn't do enough for the guests.

    We really enjoyed our stay at the Palace Maspalomas. The hotel, room and food were very good. The staff very attentive and as I said we enjoyed our stay. We ate in the speciality restaurant Krystal's and were disappointed - the steak my husband and I had was tough so we could not eat it. I did mention this to the waitress and she did offer to change but that had already spoilt our experience. So,hence we did not try the Oasis Restaurant in the evening as we had heard from other's that it was not what they expected. However, we did eat here a couple of times for lunch and that was ok.

    This is my honest review after a week’s stay at the Riu Palace adult only hotel and resort Maspalomas.Having arrived at the hotel just after 1pm we were aware that check in wasn’t til 3pm, the staff at check in were lovely, so friendly and professional and advised us our room was ready and would we like a complimentary drink. Check in was quick and easy and before we knew it e had our room keys and were unpacked and on the way to the pool. I had also requested a high floor room and we got top floor and I paid a bit extra for a sea view which was well worth it. The pool area is lovely, two pools one on either side and we were on the bigger pool side. Huge amount of sun beds and loungers and you get pool towel card which you can change as many times as you want, great changing facilities and lovely and clean toilets by the pool. The staff who walk around taking food and drink orders are so lovely too and super friendly and there is a great drinks and food menu which is served to you where you sit or you can go to the bar area and sit there.We had dinner at the buffet restaurant the first evening and the choice is excellent, SO many things to pick from starters mains and desserts, quite funny if you go at the busiest times it can be but like a scene from hungry hippos with the oldies rushing for the first bits of food but there was seriously so much and constantly being replenished they would never run out.The room itself was lovely and super well equipped. Comfy beds, and excellent facilities and a huge thanks to the cleaning team who would clean every single day and knock again early evening to see if you wanted more fresh towels I mean that was going above and beyond. I try to keep all my reviews honest and fair and feedback for people considering the Riu Palace and also for the hotel management in a nutshell as extra follows.Men do NOT need to wear trousers for dinner, shorts are fine just no vests. Some of the umbrellas around yeh pool are a bit broken - for hotel please replace with new ones.Personally we found a minority of the other guests a bit stuck up and pretentious, yes it’s adult only but you obvs get some snobby types, did it bother us no, you get some funny looks over dinner because were half the age of some of the other guests, we did find more younger to middle ages guests did arrive though.There was some minor damage to some of the furniture in our room, this was a 5 star resort and really if something is damaged it should be replaced. Did it affect the holiday - no, it’s more aesthetics. We would defo stay here again and it’s so close to the dunes and so many areas to walk and explore, if you want an excellent holiday in a lovely location at a lovely adult only hotel this is the place.

    We had an amazing experience at the buffet it was worth every penny. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptional. Everyone, from reception to the waiting team, were incredibly friendly, attentive, and couldn’t do enough for us.The buffet itself was fantastic, offering a wide variety of high-quality dishes. It was a great opportunity to sample many different types of food, with plenty of choice for every taste. The chefs were especially helpful and added to the overall experience.At €63 per person, it truly delivered on value. The quality, selection, and service made for such an enjoyable evening. Highly recommended!
