Location

This hotel is situated in the tourist centre of Playa del Inglés, within a few minutes walk of the town centre. An abundance of shops are located in the immediate vicinity, as are boutiques, cafés, bars, restaurants, Kabash shopping and entertainment centre and a lively nightlife scene. Links to the public transport network can easily be reached on foot and the nearest beach 1.5 km away.

Facility

5 suites, 9 single rooms and 203 double rooms are located on 7 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. A variety of shops are available, including a supermarket. The grounds of the holiday village feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Further services and facilities include a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, room service, a laundry service, a hairdresser and a hotel shuttle bus. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service to explore the surrounding area.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and a fan. Guests can enjoy the garden view from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a stereo system and WiFi (no extra charge) ensure optimal comfort. Sport

The outdoor pool complex includes a children's swimming area and is ideal for working out or just relaxing. A waterslide and a refreshing drink at the poolside snack bar offer the perfect way to unwind. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The complex offers an extensive outdoor sports programme, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis, beach volleyball, crazy golf, golf and horse riding. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy windsurfing and canoeing. The holiday village offers numerous indoor sports, including a gym, table tennis and squash or, for a fee, billiards. A wellness area with a solarium is available to guests. For a fee, massage treatments are also offered. Additional leisure activities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club and live music.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant, a café and a bar. Catering options include half board and all-inclusive. A delicious and varied buffet is prepared for breakfast and dinner. Special meals, including diet meals, are also available. The complex also offers special catering options.

    Great Value, Great Food, Friendly Staff all Round.

    Stayed for a week with my partner. We knew beforehand this is more of a family-focused Riu hotel rather than a couples’ retreat, so we adjusted expectations—and still ended up having a great time.The food was actually better than at the Riu Gran Canaria, which we’ve also stayed at locally. There was more choice and everything seemed better cooked. Plenty of chicken options too, which was ideal for me as I have Crohn’s disease and tend to avoid red meat and fish.From the moment you arrive, the staff are extremely friendly. Reception are warm and welcoming, and having someone take your luggage to the room is a nice touch for a 4-star hotel.The room itself was spacious, bright, and to a good standard. Furnishings are fairly typical but clean and well-kept. We upgraded to a garden-view room for £58, which was definitely worth it—much quieter and with sun for most of the day.Beds weren’t the comfiest we’ve ever had, but not bad enough to affect sleep. One small downside is that doors can slam quite loudly at night when people return to their rooms, but it didn’t bother us too much as we tend to stay up late anyway.Cleanliness across the whole hotel is excellent—everything is spotless and well maintained. Daily room cleaning was also done professionally and consistently.The pool is often mentioned as being small, but during our stay in April it was more than adequate for the number of guests.The entertainment team are active throughout the day, which is great for kids and adds a bit of light-hearted fun for adults too.Our only real criticism is the evening entertainment. Compared to other Riu hotels we’ve stayed at, it felt quite repetitive—mostly the in-house team doing similar shows each night. It would really benefit from more variety, such as live singers or external performers. Also, entertainment tends to finish quite early (around 22:00–22:30), even on weekends, which feels a bit limited for an all-inclusive.Overall, a very pleasant stay. Great for a relaxing sun-and-pool holiday with good food, excellent cleanliness, and friendly staff.We would definitely returnThank you Riu Papayas Team!

    We had a wonderful time here with our family. The staff and the bars were first class. I loved how they always cleared dirty used plates and glasses from your table. It was all run very efficiently and in a friendly welcoming way The buffet food was fine lots of salad choices but the meet and fish sometimes erred on the overcooked side The Asian style restaurant was very good and we visited twice. The Spanish surprisingly was very disappointing with lots of very mushy food and unlabeled dishes which you had to guess what they were. In fact all the restaurants had very few labels and some food was labeled wrongly. Ie label says calamari but in front could be chicken or onion For these reasons I would only score the food 3. My favourites were the Canary potatoes and mojo sauce, the selection of breads and pastries and the breakfasts.
