Go there and fall in love with the place

    rating24 Mar 2026

I totally loved this hotel and I will go back next time when I travel to GC. The hotel is beautiful with many nice areas where you can relaxThe staff was really friendly. I got an upgrade to a junior suite and the room was very nice with beautiful details. The restaurant is also luxorious and the food is good and service very nice. I ate the daily changing menu two times and both times it was really good. Breakfast is super also, so nice start to your day.The weather was cloudy and chilly but i enjoyed for example the jacuzzi. You can book it for you free of charge and it was also nice to read a book under a blanket in a beautiful terrace and hear the birds singing.Go to this hotel and enjoy the special surroundings it offers to you!

    Great for relaxing or sightseeing

    rating05 Mar 2025

We stayed here for 3 nights mid week. Our large room was on the ground room with high ceilings and comfy beds. It is very peaceful and quiet with a pool and lovely room where you can relax in the spa pool. You can help yourself to bananas as it is set in the middle of a banana plantation. The breakfast is great with a wide selection. We also had an evening meal one night which was good. The staff are very friendly. I would especially say thank-you to Leo who goes out of his way to help. Ask him about his car, which he loves!

An oasis of peace with a lottery of rooms

    rating21 Apr 2024

We booked directly through the hotel to get a good room, even though it was a few euros more expensive than through the booking portals. Exactly the opposite happened: We were given the double room number 4 - the smallest and darkest room in the complex. According to the reception they are fully booked. However, for the last 3 of a total of 5 days, suites could be booked online for the same price (EUR 114) as our double room - but not for us as guests who had already checked in. Room 4 is at the end of the corridor and when you are in bed or in the bathroom you have to close the respective windows, otherwise the guests on the veranda will have a direct view. The window on the other side can't be open when smokers are sitting on this side of the building. The wardrobe with safe is in an unlit corner. The hand shower does not hook into the top because the holder is too small. Other deficiencies were quickly eliminated. At checkout we were not asked about our experience.Otherwise we were very satisfied with the atmosphere and ambience. An oasis of peace because of the few rooms; there were enough loungers by the pool. The service in the restaurant was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed tapas and an evening menu. The dishes were well prepared.

" WHAT I DO FOR THREE DAYS IN ARRUCAS"

    rating10 Apr 2024

Strange place is this one. You can only book for minimum 3 nights, no less! I would like to know what can you do for three days in Arrucas. There is a very goo restaurant "CASA BRITO......... I know this, but I can eat for 3 days non stop! You can look at the cathedral, but there is cathedrals everywhere!

A great choice with some room for improvement

    rating11 Dec 2023

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at La Hacienda. It is well located for Arucas, Las Palmas and routes into the interior aside from being a beautiful and atmospheric hotel. Our small suite was comfortable and gave us the space we needed for our 3 night stay though for longer stays with more than the one suitcase we had, I would say that occupants would regard it as somewhat cramped for a suite, though the additional 'downstairs' space might provide a useful extension of the room proper. Wifi was fast and stable which was not always the case with the hot water which, in the morning at least, took quite some time to run significantly hot. The detailing in the bathroom was a little tired and the varnished wooden steps you needed to climb to enter the large bath felt like a bit of a hazard when combined, inevitably, with water. The lack of a sink plug is not something I would expect from a hotel of this calibre. The bed was very cosy and comfortable. A stronger light in the main room would have made it easier to read at night time. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to avail ourselves of the swimming pool, garden and jacuzzi all of which looked very temping and well-maintained.Breakfast was a highlight. The selection was extensive and featured local Canarian specialities (such as Teror Chorizo and gofio banana juice) and some variants straight from the kitchen. My partner said the tortilla was one of the best she had ever had!. By contrast, dinner was passable but not of a quality commensurate with the standard generally of the hotel. At first glance, the menu looks to be of a good standard, featuring local cuisine but some of the mains (eg the gambas) turn out to be, in effect, tapas and therefore fall short of what you would reasonably expect at this stage of a dinner. The grilled canarian cheese starter was just a plate of molten cheese which was a very odd dish indeed. We felt dinner at the Hacienda was a reasonable choice if you had had a long day, were keen to get to bed and couldn't afford the time to drive into Arucas or LP but otherwise needed an overhaul not to risk disappointing those who might expect a higher general standard. Finally, parking is plentiful and if using a Sat Nav, enter Jardin de la Marquesa if, like us, you find the location hard to track down. All in all, this was a great choice for us and hope to return one day.
